At least, with the Three Stooges and Laurel & Hardy, you could have a good laugh.

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

No one has stated the obvious, let's go back in history to the time when the man with the red flag was around. It worked, though there were consequences. But today, these people who run could serve a useful purpose to us cyclists by warning the pedestrians and other road users that we were...

Amazon launch their first UK e-cargo micromobility hub

I'm sure it's been said on here before, but as someone once remarked "All mushrooms are edible, but some only once"

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

I ring my bell, but they don't listen, or hear, or have things plugged in to their ears. Should deaf people have a sign to warn cyclists of the potential problem?

Help! Folding E-bike Brompton or Volt - for 10-20 mile commute

Why electric? It puts quite a weight on the bike, worth it if you have hills to climb or there can be strong winds in your face. See if you can borrow a bike & do your commute run, it might not be for you, although it does get easier after a while.

    Alfine 8 Speed Shifter SL-S7000

I like the trigger shift on my Tern, I was OK with the twist shift to the Rohloff on my Delite, but arthritis made it impossible to continue with. Now I have the push button changer on the E14 Rohloff. I would prefer the twist shift over the E14. The trigger shift on the Affine gears are the...

Brief review of the Tern Vektron P7i .. warts and all.

I thought your returned bike might be the one I bought, but mine is 8 speed. It's had little use as it's not my prime bike, but agree about the saddle. I went out on it yesterday.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

In 1963/64 the water pipes underground froze. Soil pipes also froze, that is why they stared to build them inside for many years, and where I worked there was a large frozen pile of urine as the toilets were out of action. That was cold, it lasted for months. Beginning to sound like the four...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

My gas one boiler is almost 50 years old. I have been looking into what I can replace it with when the time comes. I have sufficient ground for a large solar panel array, many more than on a roof. Coupled with a battery system to store the power for nighttime use has a great appeal. Then Tesla...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

SO if he (Putin) had been put down 20 years ago, maybe the world could be a happier place. We'll never know.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

When I was very young, I thought 50 was the ideal age to go. I went off the idea as time passed, but I am beginning to think I may have been right the first time. Would the world be better or worse? How old is Putin? Looking on YouTube about heat pumps, it seems they aren't as good as made out...

What's wrong with Tern? I have one and find it's fine and can compare with the 3 R&M I have had. Have I missed something?

    Bicycles to pay road tax

When these so called 'smart meters' are everywhere, they will be smart enough to know when an electric car is charging, and adjust the pricing.

Tow hitch and then a bike rack for a 2017 Toyota Auris Hybrid

Toyota Hybrids only power the driven wheels by electric motors, not directly from the engine. This would be too much for transmission and could lead to failure, not what Toyota would want for their most reliable cars. I had a bike rack that fitted my Prius, only saw it for one other make, so I...
