    Tongsheng TSDZ2. Your experiences.

I'm interested in a TSDZ2 from PSWpower. Considering the 500W 48V kit with display and throttle. Can the kit switch between 36V and 48V easily or is there a low voltage cutoff set with 48V? Will it run on 52V ? I have all three batteries and I like it when I can use whatever happens to be...

    Nearly there now.

If you would like throttle enabled with PAS set at 0, I believe C4=3 will allow that. One risk with that is the bike will take off on you if you move the throttle while walking it around after power up.

How often does the bbso1 need to be in the correct gear?

If you're were beating yourself up pedaling up that hill in a given gear without a motor, it's just as bad for the BBS01, Shift to a gear that lets you pedal faster and lets the motor spin better.

Throttles why do they go bad so easily?

Nothing inside my thumb throttle except for a 3 terminal Hall sensor soldered to a three wire cable. These sensors are not hermetic, and were not intended to resist water. Popping them open and adding a dollop of silicon seal around the leads would help. I believe you can just take out...

All in one wheel from BMSbattery

For me, in the USA, shipping is $100-115 USD, depending on battery. The kit with 8.7AH battery is $347. So $450 USD. 250W, 36V. I figure 18 mph top. Maybe 25 miles, 20 for sure at 14 mph. Wonder how they do PAS and even speed unless there's an extra sensor. How do they kill the motor if you...

    ebike build from scratch

Your crown race install looked easy, if a plastic pipe pushed it in place. I think the one I installed on my fork must have been the wrong diameter, as I had to use a metal pipe, a 7/16" threaded rod, nuts, and around 20-30 foot-pounds of constant torque to force it on.

Swytch launched.......shame about the long wait.

I'm not in the UK, but reading your forum, I thought Panda was an OK vendor?

    40 mile round trip commute - 20mph - help please :)

I haven't seen a case 08 battery, but would expect a pair of prongs on the battery. Maybe you can just bend them for better contact when the battery slides in?

What's the Q128C like at low speeds?

FYI. My Q128H arrived today on 11/21. I ordered it on 11/9. Less than 2 weeks from China. Motor was $79 USD and shipping was $67 USD. That's 110 £, but shipping to the UK might be different.

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

I see that PSWpower.com sells a TDS mid drive with a throttle. While I am a pedal assist enthusiast, I find throttles very useful. I don't need another folding bike, but it looks like fun to build one.

Swytch launched.......shame about the long wait.

A very well done video, especially at the end with all the users. Clever packaging too. I like how the controls plug into a handlebar bracket, but wonder how the bag's electrical connector will cope with the bumps inherent to a bike. This is probably less power than a Q100. You will be...

What's the Q128C like at low speeds?

    1) Thanks for the answer, d8veh, about the motor speeds.. 2) FYI to NJS, I ordered a Q128H on 11/10.. I also got an email last monday from Wendy asking to change the order slightly. I replied OK and she acknowledged my OK with a second email. .A third email said the order had been validated...

What's the Q128C like at low speeds?

I ordered a Q128H 36V 201 rpm yesterday from BMSBattery, which I plan to run mostly at 36V If I had bought the 48V 201 rpm, what would be its performance on a 36V 14A controller?. Would its max rpm scale down to 150 rpm?

    Geared hub kit drag

Go spin a regular wheel up to 25 mph and see how long it spins. And the end with the air valve will wind up on the bottom, if allowed to spin free. To be serious, I laced up two new Q100H motors this Spring and there's a little drag there. Shove the wheel and it spins only 5-10 seconds. I...

    Geared hub kit drag

This is a tough audience, but I learned something, I tried it on my best (and only) non electric bike. You were right. A normal bottom bracket does spin much better, but if I set the pedals even and place a coin on one of them, should the heavier side go down. Mine don't. Needs something...

    No drag on my unit.

    Geared hub kit drag

I've got a BBS02 and when I pulled the chain off the gears, sure didn't feel like there was any more resistances from the pedals than any other bike. Maybe if we put a meter on it, it would measure higher. It's probably like my geared hub motors. I know there's real drag because a regular hub...

    Controller > battery connection

If one is going to change tires and wheels on a bicycle, one should have some bicycle skills. If one is going to mount a motor and battery on that bike, soldering skills are advised. Soldering is an easy skill to learn. The cost of the tool is trivial compared to the cost of a kit.. The...

Nice replacement controller - cheap too.

They should list the number of PAS levels, probably three. Could be a good fit to a bike with a twist shifter.

Phoebe 36V/48V Controller with learning wire

Thanks for the reply! I knew white was reserved for speed sensor in the 9 wire cables, but I didn't know the Q100 H used it. It was on my cables by default and so it got connected. Really like the 9 pin connectors. More controllers should use them. I'll pull the cruise and learning wires...
