New Electric Bike World Record Set!

I am flabbergasted Col that you are still pursuing this agenda vocally on the forum using the KTM official avatar / username. Have you had KTM/ permission to provide your personal opinions in their name of forums? It becomes a fine line to do so in the capacity of an employee. Forums in...

Man United Thrashed By MK Dons

Ohh. I hardly ever venture in the chat place because there is hardly any ffwti talk.. I must admit MKDons aka Wimbledon played extremelY well and score should have been 6-0 at least. I think some teams will be poaching their goal scorers in January transfer market?

    Bosch bearings

Here's a ktm... Good luck if it breaks down Somebody will need the atm As for anything Bosch we'll just frown I really think it is becoming quite transparant on these forums that KTM provide hardly bugger all service to anybody other than sales. Pass the buck attitude. Sorry Col, nothing...

Any Interesting News from Eurobike 2014

Bad news that from Bosch... Thanks for the update. What does Yamaha do then differently for UK seeing how they now do crank motors and trying to compete with Bosch.

    Liability....

Wouldn't it have been wiser to have emailed the businesses you have referred to rather than expect them to respond on a forum? They would be mad to in my opinion.

    Liability....

Don't KTM have lawyers they can ask for clarification? i don't understand why you worry so much about ypur competitors ;) It does come across as if you are using the 'dongle' or S class issue as an excuse to slate your competition? Not saying you are doing this but it gives that impression...

    100% waterproof bike cover

Awol.. That does look more sturdy. Have ordered although no idea if a large will be too big or cover too heavy / bulky compared to my Oxford one (the fly away one!)

How many miles have you done on your Bosch powered bike?

How do you get the total? Have pressed reset many times thinking rhis only cancelled for trip. Mine would not be accurate as I have had two intuiva headset things but I probably have done 1500 miles.... No idea actually.

    100% waterproof bike cover

I used this one.... http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Oxford-Aquatex-Bicycle-Cover_60207.htm?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=AdwordsProductAds&utm_campaign=Adwords&gclid=CJbj7dXFp8ACFSX4wgoduDEAcQ On my second one now because I didn't tie it down during hurricane winds last winter. it covers my panniers...

    Bosch bearings

i agree with you about being allowed easy access to parts (dealer or customer). The restrictions and barriers for these component parts are becoming so restrictive it seems that it will have a detrimental effect on an actual bike brand itself? With what seems like a clear growth in the supply...

    Bosch bearings

those reminders of legal redress are always useful for those who may not be aware. I don't get the impression that this is the issue in these cases. Personally I am aware of all of those laws and regulations. the crux is the lack of support given to dealers through no fault of their own...

Perhaps these Pedelec warranties whould have x miles on them also and not just time?

    Bosch bearings

On the dongle issue perhaps Bosch may be referring to the original dongles that needed to be fitted inside the motor somehow? There are now ones that do not fit inside I believe and need no tampering with the motor. I can understand Bosch invalidating warranty though in such cases although if...

    Bosch bearings

I think that is one of the main issues but not only Bosch. the other component manufacturers that are part of the bike's various warranty claim to be are also an issue. the time that they also take to even process items that reach them and the hassle and unecessary time to contact the relevant...

    Bosch bearings

And I think that is the problem we have.. Dealers / seller will only want to, if at all, deal with their own bikes' issues. There will be a definite growth market in servicing / fixing all these Bosch pedelecs .. Especially after 2 years is up. I know the Kalkhoffs seem to be selling well...

And the communication issue are not KTM Col but the manufacturers eg SRAM.

    Bosch bearings

Perhaps Col misunderstood me. I cannot possibly express my satisfaction with electrifying cycles in Words eloquent enough (unless in Welsh :) ). They have been, and continue to be amazing, flexible, helpful beyound what is expected of a dealer. The relationship there is exeptional ther and...

    Bosch bearings

The Bosch website links to leadtime for parts usually being 2-3 days (Col's link) but this is from cloud cuckoo land in my experience. A spare calssic motor took 4 weeks .. Or was it 6 actually?
