I hope you don’t catch coronavirus and die, or worse, catch it, pass it on and kill some other poor ******. I think your attitude is selfish, irresponsible, reckless and born out of stupidity or lack of courage. But that’s your choice. There is a certain level of risk associated with this...

Let’s take a look. A scientist who happens to be the chief scientist in the world of medical science has made a scientific decision after consulting with other scientists who are leads in their particular branch of science. Yes, given your track record on here, I can absolutely believe that you...

Vaccinations are now being rolled out to 56 year olds & over. Booked my first jab next week and the second in May. My 70 year old friend in France still has no vaccination date! I can’t wait, by mid June I can start licking door handles and buttons on pedestrian crossings again. It’s been so...

I don’t think the extended dose interval is political. It was contrived by medical experts as a strategy to take pressure off the NHS. I can’t see anyone in this government having the necessary intelligence to come up with it.

I’m just trying to remember if we’ve ever had mandatory vaccination in the U.K. Polio? TB? Did we have a choice? I seem to remember having a choice regarding the TB jab at school. You could choose to submit to the injection or you could choose to have Mr Berry, the games teacher, drag you to...

Sorry I was mistaken, it’s 22000000 not 21000000. The rate of vaccination is so rapid it’s difficult to keep up. Where is it? It’s in people’s bloodstream making precious antibodies and T cells. And so our marvellous vaccination programme continues.

Ordered early, received early, injected early. That’s how the U.K. did it. Ordered late, received late, injecting late. That’s how the EU are in such a mess. As I said earlier, my 70 year old friend in France still has no vaccination date. There’s a lot of anger in the EUs direction over that.

Well they did have several options. They had the option to allow the shipment to go to Australia and they had the option to dab-in and get the vaccine ordered in a timely fashion. The vaccine is in the right place though. Italy’s needs are far greater than third countries Australia and the...

I think Kate Bingham can take a lot of credit for that. She was one of the few unpaid advisors. Bingham built a huge amount of redundancy into the procurement programme. She was decisive enabling early orders to be place, she backed seven vaccines which were unproven and that strategy has paid...

Enough to have vaccinated 21000000 people and still going.

I think it would be a good gesture if the U.K. gave the EU some of our vaccine stock. Help and advice based on our experience of setting up vaccine delivery would be a good thing too. Nobody is safe until we are all safe with this virus and it’s in the UKs interest to help the EU sort out their...

Yes I agree, the vaccine is in more urgent need in Italy and I’m sure the Aussies would have agreed to helping them, if they’d asked. It’s such an ugly practice though, to invent a rule that effectively allows an EU state to pilfer a life saving product that has been ordered legitimately by...

Disappointed to read that the EU has stolen AZ vaccine destined for Australia. Australia is doing very well at controlling Covid and keeping infection very low, so it won’t be a massive blow to them. Ugly practice by the EU though. Stealing vaccine in the midst of a global pandemic because they...

I might take my dog to my own court which I’ve set up in the garden room and sue him for chewing my Wellington boots. It’s not going to happen mate.

I tend to agree. I think the EU will won’t to forget the entire vaccine procurement shambles, it doesn’t look good for them.

The same words appeared in both the U.K. and the EU contracts, so whatever is decided in the court will apply equally to both. It’s just a shame that the EU were so late placing their order and I’m sure AZ made their Best Efforts to help the EU catch up.

UK signed the deal during May 2020, the EU during August. Three months behind. Both contracts have the “best efforts” wording.

What about being very very late placing an order. Does that count as being behind?
