I’m just trying to remember if we’ve ever had mandatory vaccination in the U.K. Polio? TB? Did we have a choice?
I seem to remember having a choice regarding the TB jab at school. You could choose to submit to the injection or you could choose to have Mr Berry, the games teacher, drag you to the sick lame & lazy bay to be held down whilst the nurse stuck the needle in your arm.

Good point. They just lined us up and stabbed us... Can't remember anybody getting choice to avoid it and I, m not sure parents knew when it was going to happen.
I know quite a few who are not going to have it. Seem to be similar age groups and mentality... The conspiracy theorist backers between 30 and 45 ish.. Don't get it at all..

Not sure what has happened since. Though I am under the impression that there are certain circumstances/groups for whom vaccinations can be compulsory. For example, armed forces, some under court protection, and certain classes of disabled children.

But that is for a very low pay rate, even newly qualified nurses apparently average £10k more at £34k.

Nope!. The reverse . 85% of the vaccines provided to Ireland in January and February are in people's arms. by March 3rd.. I would trust the Cork Examiner more. The Moderna vaccine is the least used type and with the smallest stockpile. This is one of those cases where one can deliberately tell an untruth, by selective facts. All the Moderna vaccine delivered in January has been consumed, and the delivery date of the second consignment in February is not mentioned.

Just finished watching news night..
Isn't it time for a government with no party politics obsession or attachment. No idea how we, d get there but the moment any politician is asked anything their first response is to bull up their own party and put down opposition and in mean time forget how to work out right way forward. All as bad as each other, we see it on here.
If a good thought comes from other side of house, it's derided. Not because of its merit but because of its origin and party of person making suggestion. The vaccine roll out knocked purely because origins of it are seen Tory based. (when in reality they are no such thing)
We need radical changes in society, and have done for years. Seems to me both, or all, sides are more interested in party advancement than society success. Labour just as bad as Tories. Labour bloke tonight when asked way forward and why his government made little headway in social reform spent more time knocking Tories than outlining a plan. Gavin bloke spoke well, as did doctor. Thought rest idealists.???

The speed of the vaccine rollout is indeed very good, but the reasoning for interfering with the dosage dates not based on science at the time, it was a political gamble, and as to the reason they chose that course?
Expediency much more likely than humanitarian, after all look at the stunts they pulled with PPE.

Change to a more representative voting system so this aberration never happens again
Rejoin the EU
Make the country productive in a modern way
Close down offshore Tax dodging
Find a balance between Socialism and capitalism that favours the best aspects of both
