I guess a lot has to do with the fact that pedelecs are considered bicycles, and bicycles are supposed to be ridden on bike and shared paths. 25kph is good top speed for those paths. Yes, people on push bikes can ride faster but very few can sustain that speed. I would not like to see 45kph...

There's some learning curve to tricycles. I remember riding one ages ago, almost found myself in a ditch from the get go. You actually have to steer that thing. When I finally learnt it and rode it for two weeks I had to learn to ride bicycle all over again. I couldn't keep my balance anymore :-D

I had a great ride Sunday morning. Bike worked great and it was warm and nice. 35km, mostly singletrack. Rise and shine! Enter the mud season Sunny, warm and dry also. If rocks and roots are slippery - try these duckboards when wet. Almost like ice. Now where's the trail now?

I've always liked the English countryside. I wish we had bigger hills and more open space instead of the rocks&roots grinding in the dark woods.

Finally back on singletrack after getting replacement crank for my Macina Freeze. A short ride today, and a longer one planned for tomorrow. It has been raining and the rocks are super slippery. Yesterday was also very windy. Tree fungi for you nature lovers

Wow, those are some heavy tires, ~1200g/tyre. But if they work, I guess they are worth the extra weight.
