How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Again riding some single tracks. It's just so much fun. It was a bit muddy after the rain. I need to get front mud guard! A dropper post would be nice too as the trails are mostly quite technical with rocks and roots and short & steep descents. Another trail head And the trail I had to...

News :- Norwegian e-bike use study: more trips, average distance doubles

Yes, it won't have much effect if you collide with a car. But if you fall down head first from your bike, even at low speed, the helmet can absord the impact amazingly well and it could very well save you. I've tried that  Of course, the possibility of this happening depends of the...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I've been out riding every night and this bike is made for exploring. It's great on sand and mud. Today I really need to clean my bike(s). Riding waterfront. Overcast and light rain. Gnarly and slippery single track. It's getting greener but where are the warm spring days? It was +8C.

Took my new KTM for a spin around central park in Helsinki: Note the matching helmet to KTM colors. Spring time! Mud run - this one is dedicated to EddiePJ Speed record so far - down the ski slope.

Dishwasher. My life would be miserable without it.

Long time cyclist - ebike on order

After 211 days of waiting a very big box appeared at my home :) While waiting for the battery to charge I swapped the saddle for WTB Pure V (the only one approved by my a**), high rise bars and silicon grips. After a brief 2hr test ride on single track, gravel and road initial impressions are...

    Haibike FatSix Review

I can actually answer for myself :) I had a chance for a brief test ride on Felt Lebowske with Bluto fork, so it's pretty much the same setup as Haibike Fatsix and KTM Macina Freeze. Tyre pressure was pretty low and with the assist set to 'OFF' the bike felt really heavy and sluggish. On 'ECO'...

    Haibike FatSix Review

Congrats on your new ride! How do the assist levels feel on the Fat six? Does eco mode do anything on such a big bike? Do you have any numbers on range? I'm six months in waiting for my KTM Macina Freeze, looks to be couple of more months to go

Haibike amt pro. First impressions? ;)

What if the independent shop goes belly up? Or if I or the shop moves. Then what? Also, don't you (or the KTM hq in Austria) pay for the warranty work carried out in bike shops? So why should it matter where the warranty work is done? Unless the pay is way below what the shop normally charges...

Haibike amt pro. First impressions? ;)

How about after the warranty has expired? Do ebike shops in general work like regular bike shops, repair for money anyone's bikes?

Add suspensions or sell my hybrid/road bike?

In the example video the guy is running totally unsuitable rims and tires for city riding, such a small bump shouldn't destroy the wheel. I would first go for bigger tires, something like 30-40mm wide. Bike will still feel fast and nimble but with extra cushion.

How about Schwalbe Kojak? Im running 700x35 on my cyclocross. Slick, fast and comfortable.

    Tyre pressures

This is very much off topic, but I find this discussion interesting. And in my previous post I tried to give you an example how ordinary people are used to metric system in their daily lives in countries where it has been established long time ago. It's all about in which system you are used to...

    Tyre pressures

It's not really about which system is better but what you are used to. I've been using metric system whole my life. Imperial system makes no sense to me, instead of just scaling things you jump from unit to unit. From miles to yards to feet to inches. Actually is there a smaller unit than inch...

Bosch Nyon Issues?. New substantial update: Jan 2015

Change cable or use a phone charger (or the cable from the charger). (Cheap) micro usb cables often fail at charging.

Studs are really needed only on ice and icy roads. On snow regular MTB tires work usually just fine. Nice ride, more snow than we have here currently :-)

Long time cyclist - ebike on order

Been waiting for 15 weeks and...the bike is delayed. Latest info is that it will be in production weeks 10 and 11. I'll get my bike right for the spring  Luckily there haven't been that much snow, so I've been able to ride my cyclocross bike.

Long time cyclist - ebike on order

Actually I've been looking for summer tires for the fattie. The Speedsters look quite prone to flats, especially with the gravel they spread on the roads here during the winter (even after cleaning there's always some left). Black Floyds are a bit pricey, but I'll browse the web for user...
