I used a floor pump. I didn't even have to remove valve cores, Nobby Nic 2.8s were so easy to setup tubeless. My fat tires still have tubes. And I will probably keep them that way, easier to change to studded tires if needed.

How wide is the stock rim? Maybe go for a 2.5" wide tyre, like WTB Breakout.

I don't see a point in dropping 1k more for Haibike (Xduro FatSix) instead of KTM Macina Freeze. Bikes have almost identical spec. Unless the Ktm frame is unsuitable for you I'd save some money get the Macina Freeze. Disclaimer: I own a Macina Freeze
