Are Bosch drive units interchangable

Hi,

Is it possible to get a bike with a Bosch Active 250w system and later on upgrade to a Bosch Performance CX 250w system or is that basically a whole new bike?

In other words, are they interchangable units?

I guess same year models could be interchangable. But upgrade is impossible as you cannot get drive units anywhere. So new bike is the answer.

yes you can buy them and the cx will fit as the mounting bolts are the same but not sure if you can swap an active for a cx motor.

From that webpage:

only available as like for like replacement on the exchange of your original drive unit.

so an upgrade would not be possible.

The Performance Line and CX are certainly interchangeable, but whether you could find one, is another matter.
