    pedelecs banned from UK event...

I can see that's what you'd like to think. But they have clearly said - "They state in their communications to us that e-bikes pose a ‘risk’." They wouldn't use the word risk if they simply wanted to create a level playing field, they'd just say, "we want to create a level playing field"...

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

Why do you think I've got an agenda against illegal bikes? and why do you think BHF have banned eBikes then?

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

is there any chance we can have a face palm, head hit desk smiley please ;) BHF and the others aren't going to say they are banning things because they can't police the law, because the illegal ones are already illegal. What's happening in this example will also happen at Forest Commission...

Pedelecs frum makes me feel sick

you do realise this website is called "pedelecs".... which does have a definition in the UK, but we'll ignore that bit ;) and I'm sorry, but I'm afraid its not based on irrational fear, its based on facts and conversations with land owners and organisers and it is already starting...

    27.5+ Conversion

its a 148x12 bolt though axle, so a normal style wheel won't work, it'll take a lot of modification.

    27.5+ Conversion

that's sort of correct... there isn't really an MTB standard though. There are lots of options for rear hubs on mountain bikes. qr, 135x10, 135x12, 142x12 and the new wider 148x12

    27.5+ Conversion

guys... its a 27.5+ bike, so it'll have the new Boost hub standard... so I don't think a hub conversion will work.

    Haibike copy

You've basically, listed - spec, price, ride quality, and aftercare. These are pretty much the 4 key things that will set bikes apart, other things that come into play with higher end bikes, and eBikes include. customer service before and during the sale (its not just aftercare that can...

    Haibike copy

yes, I wasn't saying it was a bad thing. Its just the frame is pretty much the only part of an eBike or even bicycle that is designed by the company who's name you'll see on the frame. The design of the graphics is often not even done in house.

    Governing Body ???

BEBA, and now the BA represent the trade side of things. If an individual cyclist wants representation or to be insured of be part of a bigger organisation, there are lots of great reasons to join what used to be called the CTC, but is now Cycling UK. http://www.cyclinguk.org/

    Bosch Classic about to die?

sorry only just noticed this... the Sales of Goods Act doesn't cover business to business transactions, so the LBS can't use it in its negotiations with the manufacturer.

    Bosch Classic about to die?

if a product is replaced under warranty, you don't get a new start date. But in this case he's just bought a new motor, so this new motor will have a new warranty.

Could Strava be used to catch the dongled?

Well yes, events might evolve. Much like MX and motorbike enduro events exist now. But these would be private events on closed land, just like the motorbike equivalents are. The advantage of these powerful eBikes - we make one its called the KTM Freeride, is that they are quiet so they can be...

Could Strava be used to catch the dongled?

What hope have we got when Motor Cycle News, and also the new eBike Magazine Watt bike "review" this motorbike and don't in anyway mention the one big downside, that you can't legally use it anywhere. I will bet my the days of electric MTB in this country are numbered... firts bans will happen...

Could Strava be used to catch the dongled?

No one will be "caught" they'll just ban eMTB, or even worse..... all MTB at certain venues. This new Bultaco is being promoted widely at the moment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bultaco-Brinco-Electric-Mountain-Bike-/231927962184?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368 it'll do 40mph up hill, even a...
