    Oxygen S Cross E-Bike!

Yep my LCD has a 0 level. Useful if you need to know how far/fast you are going without assistance. Oh and it has air temperature...

    Is this true.

I love multiplying and dividing by 1.609 in my head! :) Or I could just multiply by 1.609 one way and .62 the other :D

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Wait a minute! That is brilliant! I think you have found the reason for the brexit vote, all of those people were still wearing their brown paper bag! Oh and the speed of light is different for those folk, the sound goes to the brain faster than the flash...

do you go further on ebike or more on unpowered?

I have asthma... I tried a few times to ride to Hendaye before my bike got a motor, on the way there my record was one stop on the hill for a breather and two on the way back. Now I just go there and it takes about 25 minutes to do the 11 km. If I didn't have a pedelec I would be stuck with...

Oxygen S-Cross CB seat tube failure.

The way it is broken looks like it was a bad tube, maybe the heat of the weld didn't help. Most probably nothing to do with your NCX which is longer and, from my experience, a quality bit of kit compared to some of the pogo stick shock absorbers I have seen. And if they are changing tube...

    Thinking of selling my bike.....

The NCX also gets great revues which I endorse, my lower back doesn't have eyes and so it lives very well with the look of it

    Bbsxx gear change sensor

Kirsten you have lots of experience and I think gear sensors are meant for people who have never ridden a bike before and have come to cycling via pedelecs. I naturally, without even thinking about it, ease off on the pedals when changing gear and since the GSM was mounted last summer have...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Just trying to lift standards, doing my bit! Once you leave the EU going back to pig latin would do the country a world of good, you mark my words! :D

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Last time they tried to vote a government in it took them 541 days. Just saying  so you can imagine how long it would take them to hold a referendum!

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Reading the article it doesn't have much to do with the money but rather the nature of the jobs - not good enough for your elite working class. They have tried employing people from the UK who don't have the luxury of cherry picking (oh! a rather good joke IIMSSM :)) jobs such as ex-prisoners...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Did you read this? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/may/21/brexit-coming-food-crisis-seasonal-migrant-labour-eu Executive summary: UK workers don't want to do the jobs immigrants do...

    Front or rear hub motor

If you are a cyclist there is the weight thing, I don't like all that weight in the front wheel and I am not even a "real" cyclist. Rear hub makes the back heavy but you can still chuck the front of the bike around when you need to.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It was the UK which pushed for the enlargements. Many of us think it was already in the aim of sabotage...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Just the once in "western" countries. It took a couple of wars and a great depression for them to get there though. I think that is probably Trump and May's logic - a good war will get the economy back on the rails. Problem is there hasn't been a good war in a while... The US have been losers...

    Bosch climbing speed

Commercial interests may be slightly more, how could we say... pragmatic than the wicked witch from the north?...

    Bosch climbing speed

The fastest ever non doped rider averaged 36.7 km/h up the Alp d'Huez stage (Pantani 38 km/h with the help of a little EPO). You probably couldn't average that speed on a Bosch powered bike with a dongle... The standard battery probably wouldn't make it to the top in those conditions. Makes one...

Hello, is an ebike a suitable alternative to a expensive train commute?

Road rage... People where I live are either people on holiday - "no bike is going to get to the beach quicker than my car!" or irate locals stuck in trafic jams caused by tourists taking their car to the beach, rather than walking, and who want to drive over anything moving faster than them...

    Cheapest conversion available?

Yes I live on the blunt end of the Pyrenees, it is a Samsung 26F celled 10.4 Ah bottle battery, it would have probably lasted someone in a flatter area another year or two. Always buy a larger battery more powerful than you think you need, even when you are on a shoestring budget.
