    Brexit, for once some facts.

1 manual worker 1 overseer 1 to make the tea 2 or 3 to hold the spare shovels (sometimes they take turns at digging. After a cup of tea of course!)

Cube Travel Hybrid 500 Easy Entry - Is this a good setup?

My Magura is at over 5000 km and 2 years on the original brake blocks. I have adjusted the brake lever once. I have an Avid mechanical on the back and it gives me very little trouble because I brake on the front wheel. I ride in the mountains and with a trailer and have never doubted in my rim...

    Diy solderless 18650 battery kit.

I like your brass bolt idea, better conductivity than nickel. Surely there are brass springs around?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There was a nice young woman on Arte the other night who has a very interesting theory: current goings on in the US and the UK are designed by the rich in power to kill off the poor. They (the poor) are just a hindrance now that the menial jobs they used to have can be done by robots so lets get...

" It is possible that UK pensioners abroad under the S1 scheme would be relatively healthier..." Could it be the weather? The food? :)

Cube Travel Hybrid 500 Easy Entry - Is this a good setup?

I would chose the other frame https://www.cube.eu/uk/2017/e-bike-trekking/travel-hybrid/cube-travel-hybrid-500-havanna-brownnorange-2017-z/ it will be considerably lighter. The Magura brakes are just as good as good quality mechanical disks and weigh less. Go for it.

That sent shudders through my whole body as I remembered the state of my shins when I was using normal pedals... Just from walking alongside the bike!:eek::eek:

    Diy solderless 18650 battery kit.

Ta much! Same strategy I was going to use. I have a group of 4 cells at the pointy end in a 2x2 square. I will test with the tired cells and the SS bus bars things will be easier with the nickel connectors. Yeah I noticed that some of the springs are slightly depressed so will pull all the...

    Diy solderless 18650 battery kit.

Technical question: how many bus bars for a serial connection? My battery has a triangular end and it is going to be hard to have more than two bus bars in series. Everywhere else there are three bars. I am at work so no pic before tomorrow afternoon.

I use these: http://www.ergotec.de/en/products/pedale/sub/city-trekking-pedale/produkt/ep-1.html On the 26" wheeled bike I did have pedal strike issues a couple of times, on the 28" wheeled bike never. My foot has never slipped even in the wet. I have cycled bare foot (I know it is...

Kit ordered the 20th, the post office tried to deliver yesterday (my nice neighbours sold their bar so no one to take delivery). I will pick it up today.

cant decide what kit to buy

A road bike doesn't need hydraulic disk brakes front and rear. A mechanical rear disk brake is plenty enough. There are plenty of howto videos on fitting a switch to your existing brake levers if you are a bit of a handyman. A rear hub motor does not need brakes switches if you are not fitting...

What cargo bike tyre to buy?

The Big Ben Plus is rated for 95 kg that is 15 kg more than the Marathon and we all know that overloading or under inflating are responsible for some of the punctures in tyres with supple side walls like these. You should apply for a job at Scwalbe as tyre torture tester, you certainly take...

    Diy solderless 18650 battery kit.

I am going for 100% pure nickel bus bars the whole way when I buy the new cells from nkon. I don't mind soldering it is just that I wanted to stay in the spirit of being able to take everything to bits if I need to. I will probably crimp and solder the ring terminal on.

What cargo bike tyre to buy?

I am not talking about Big Ben (I have those) but the 2017 Big Ben Plus with puncture protection. So they are more puncture resistant than your previous Big Bens. They will wear out BUT they are sticky and have much better handling. There is always a compromise to make....

What cargo bike tyre to buy?

You should look at the Big Ben Plus 95kg / tire there is slightly less puncture protection (3 mm instead of 5 mm) but it is s-pedelec certified. It is listed as a cargo bike tyre on the Schwalbe site.
