    Having trouble my eBay bargain

Probably a good idea to upload some pics of the controller/motor/wiring to give us an idea of what you have. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    New battery

As D8veh says, the controller would normally check before enabling the throttle. Disconnect throttle, power cycle and report result here... Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    New battery

This is the confusing part. If the motor is spinning, how can you confirm the throttle is operational? Can you give more detail please. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

This is about the controller, nothing to do with the motor type. I'm not generally a grammar Nazi, but the occasional comma, full stop or capital letter would make it easier for the rest of us to understand your posts. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Advice please on a replacement controller.

Yes, this stock issue is a right PITA. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Why would you say that? The motor type is not relevant. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

E bikes help to make riding standard bikes easier

Yes, exactly that. I have always put it down to being more 'cycle fit'. Thing is, when you have a pedelec you will likely use it more often for the ordinary chores (shopping, bank, errands) so you spend a lot more time in the saddle than you otherwise would. There a thread on here somewhere...

...but it's OK for you to decide what the rest of us TALK about? You and Flud need to have a long, hard look at your posts. Me, I can't be arsed with anymore than skim reading them. Yawn. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    which e-bike

You probably need something with a BPM (or CST) motor for extra torque. Woosh Big Bear or a Kudos Tornado (slightly over budget), depending on which style you prefer. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    1000w ebike ???

Not wordplay at all. The first one is the most important distinction. A motor rated no more than 250w, running at 42v, pulling 20A is just as legal as one pulling 10A. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    1000w ebike ???

This is not the law as it stands. It's a lot more complex than this. Infact, it could be argued that the first 4 points are wrong: The motor power is not limited to 250w. The motor must not be rated more than 250w. A 10% allowance is made for the 15.5 speed limit, which means about 17mph in...

    Help with bike

It will likely be OK at 36v, it'll go a bit better than with a 24v battery. When I've over volted stuff I notice an increase in speed, but not much increase in torque, which is what you need. Increasing the current will likely give more toque, but the question is how much more an already over...

Advice please on a replacement controller.

Looks like a pretty standard controller to me, with the display section shorted (presumably as not present) I would think a KU65 or S06p from BMS battery would do the job. Before ordering a new one though, it's worth checking for a short on the phase wires. Those plastic bullet crimps have a...
