Warranty is good only in shop where you buy the bike

If you want to stick around this forum I suggest you wind your neck in a bit, and read what people actually write. JohnCade has not said that there are no 200w Smart Ebikes. He said he was surprised that they make a 200w because (no other) major manufacturer has been making them. He then goes...

Deep cycle NOT ebike battery question

They can often be revived. Stick it on a charger for a few days and see. If you want to be adventurous, you could attempt to de-sulphate with a short burst of a higher voltage. I've seen Utube footage of people doing this with 110v ac! (I don't recommend it though).

Been reported for Riding without a license and no insurance

40kg is no longer relevant. Weight restriction has been lifted, but having two seats does not make it a tandem (needs two sets of pedals). That said, it ok to Cary a passenger as long as the bike is specifically built or modified to do so. This problem with these moped type bikes is that most...

    Trouble shooting a broken bike

Current is flowing through it. Lots of it. But a small voltage is developed across it, because it has a small resistance. This small voltage is proportional to the large current. Imagine a hose pipe, with two pressure gauges two foot apart, and the tap turned on. The two pressure gauges start...

Sorry to disagree, but soldering the shunt reduces its resistance.

    Trouble shooting a broken bike

The shunt is basically a resistor. It has a very low value, but is of a known resistance. Because it's a resistor, a voltage exists across it, and this is proportional to current. The controller uses this voltage to infer current. If you solder some of it you reduce the resistance, and the...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Can I ask why KTM bike industries are posting in the 'Electric Bike Conversion Kits' section of the forum? Have you guys started selling a conversion kit?
