Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

Nutter! :) Is there a way for me to have Strava show your exploits in metric? Using a calculator in the days of computer wizardry is a little boring...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

And despite those tariffs my fruit and veg shop is full of produce from Morocco. Maybe you are thinking of this? Are Italy and Spain sinking the rafts of the economic refugees at sea like your Aussie mates do? Do the tariffs outweigh the other actions of cleaning up the mess left by UK...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Read the title of the thread. Now we need the facts to back that statement. The EU hasn't gone off warmongering on a whim with the US. In fact it has even been criticized for not being more reactive. The UK and US going on about "greatness" is bordering on the psychotic, the world has other...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

While they were sleeping the colonies got their independence and the 21st century is in its 18th year. If your idea of greatness is rape and pillage of the weak and needy, sorry it has gone out of fashion these days.

Does an e bikes acceleration confuse drivers

Answer: Yes. Especially if you are unrestricted but most people drive along the lines of "it is a pedal bike I have the time". Then you have those who don't like cyclists. Then you have the psychotic out for a kill... The daytime running light on my b+m has helped a lot with intersections and...

    Lightweight Trekking Bike Build

d8veh does the rear motor take an 8 speed freewheel? Or rather does an 8 speed freewheel and that motor fit 135 mm dropouts?

French University inscription fees: http://www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/cid20195/droits-scolarite.html This covers health insurance as well as tuition fees. You don't pay them if you have a bursary. Foreign students (non EU) have to pass tests, including French language, before being...

Lack of full suspension tour bikes

In theory (and in practice) you don't need a rear suspension on a touring bike a NCX seat post is plenty to wipe out the bumps. I have tested this theory on the "cycle path from hell" back from Hendaye. Full suspension will not prevent that stretch of road from loosening any nut or bolt that is...

Beat Bike Toba Crossbar (Bike Log)

And not any rim tape, the cheap stuff in my sons BMXs from Decathlon was as bad as not having any. There were even holes in the rim tape where the spoke nipples had cut through probably due to too being too long...

Conversion kit lessons learned after first month/250miles

Another of my crazy ideas... Running a 36V oil cooled 260 rpm BPM at 72 V (2 x 36 V batteries in series) and 18-20 Amps. That is the flat road configuration, speed not torque. Hilly configuration back to 36 V (2 x 36 V batteries in parallel) and 20 Amps. I have the very convenient...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

I'll just have to try Jaizkibel there and back: 18 km and 900 metres gain. Puerto de Otxondo is on the cards as soon as I get my battery situation sorted but I won't be stopping there and continue up to about 970 metres along a road that goes up to the radar towers. In theory I can come back...

Looking for a very light weight Step through bike

HL is 52 cells IIRC. You can put 2P10S in there and it will weigh a lot less than 4P10S the bulk isn't a real problem. I already linked to this 2.6 kg with bag: http://www.ciclotekstore.eu/b2c/producto/9821051/2/vintage-brown-36v-8-8-ah-battery-set The problem isn't the Ah it is the power of...

Most powerful eBike for long uphill journeys?

In one of the lower hairpins the percentage shown is 80.9%. How did you stay on the bike? ;) I would have to go quite a way inland to find a similar climb in altitude gain but the climbs are easier than in the Alps.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The reason French agriculture was disappointed with the Canada trade deal is that many AOP cheeses are not protected by the deal, you will be able to buy Basque cheese made in Canada! Way back when I was there I found Scottish Cheddar to be tastier than the English variety and then there is NZ...

What a trouble maker you are sometimes... :) Maybe you could try drinking pure malt instead of blended? My clan make the absolute worst tasting whiskey on the face of the earth, at the bottom end of the range, and some very nice more expensive ones. The Japanese make some damned good whiskey...
