Long time - Back on board need advice.

It's counter intuitive. Bikes don't go fast enough for aqua planing to occur, so smooth tyre = more rubber contact area = more grip. This only true on a smooth, solid surface though. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Elise Electric Explorer from bicycles4u

To compare batteries, and get a real word range, multiply V x Ah to get Watt-hours (Wh). Divide that by 12 to get range. So, that decathlon has a 192Wh battery, and an aprox range of 16 miles. It probably won't pull the skin off a rice pudding though. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Schwalbe Big Apple or Fat Frank. They make an enormous difference. You don't need special EV tyres. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    £1000-£1300 Budget Which Bike?

A word on Bafang motors. I've never used their crank drives, but I think I've used nearly every one of their hub drives at one time or another (not the newer swx02). SWX, BPM and CST. I have not broken one ever, and have abused them enormously. Pumping nearly 900w into 250w motors, over...

Fitting a S12S controller to an ezee mk2 motor

Hi Jack, how's things? I'm pretty sure that I fitted a ku93 to a mk2 ezee motor a few years back. That worked OK. I've got in the back of my mind that the S12S is a bit more fussy, probably because it's sine wave. If it helps, I have a known working S12P (square wave) that you can borrow...

    Remove speed peg

If it has a limit wire, it will be two cores. Usually connected together is limited. If may not be limited though. Can you lift the wheel and see how fast it goes? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    54,6v or 48v charger for 48v battery?

No, that's really not how it works. For current to flow, there must be a potential difference (measured in Volts). So, for current to flow into a battery (and charge it) the charger must be at a higher voltage than the battery. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Replacement Charging lead

No, not really needed. Just to stop your equipment sending out radio signals. Just re-use the old one, or don't bother. Be aware that if you go with the second option you will betray our presence and position to alien eavesdroppers. They may come to earth and death ray some Fucxing sense in to...

Vertical battery and bottle on down tube: why is it uncommon?

I think some people have become confused. The OP is not looking for two batteries or a bigger battery, just a place for a water bottle. I've seen bottle cages on the seat post before, although I can't remember where.... Me, I only carry a water bottle on my non powered bike. On my electrics I...

    Replacement Charging lead

They are available from Maplin, RS, BitsBox and others. First, you need to measure the outside diameter. A vernier would be best, but if your eyesight is good you can get close with a ruler. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

It really depends what you're after. Motor in the front, battery at the back gives a good weight distribution, and all wheel drive. It also distributes the power through twice as many spokes, meaning less chance of breakage. It doesn't give a sporty ride, but if you want to be upright I'd guess...
