    Rubbee X Introduction

I rode home from the Asian supermarket the other day with a sac of rice and sundries. I can't imagine doing that with a bag on my back... Or without assistance: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/number-two.23568/page-4#post-411256 Oh and in the rain...

    SRAM EX1 first impressions review

I am trying to see how I can fit my GSM to the trike and one of my ideas was the 10 speed wide ratio 11-46 Sunrace with the stock single 46 tooth chainwheel. I am stuck on the chain and cassette life bit. I need 2.6 chains at each change

    48v systems

My questions are hypothetical, I can't see why it can't be done to stay within EN15194. Removing 1 cell per series group and using a 12S BMS isn't going to throw a spanner in a Chinese battery assembly line surely? And there are 12S chargers on the market, they do charge to 50.4v I agree.

    40 mile round trip commute - 20mph - help please :)

He has a KT controller and LCD-3 I think? So yes I did try: went from an 8 magnet disk to a 12 magnet one and I changed the settings to make it work smoother. It worked with 8 magnets but setting the number to 12 made startup much smoother.

    48v systems

I read his post. If he is importing bikes he can spec the battery I think? There are no shortage of 12S BMS and chargers out there in China, someone must be buying them?

    Locks

One can imagine today's crooks walking around with a smartphone and upon finding a nice bike looking up the retail price in real time! Such is the way of technological assistance - worth nicking or not worth nicking... - I am a big fan of two locks just for their discouragement value. -...

    48v systems

https://eu.nkon.nl/sk/k/30q.pdf I'm looking at the "Capacity & Temperature vs. discharge capacity" graph and thinking 5P12S so at 20 Amps battery continuous discharge each cell in the parallel group will be giving 4-5 A. On that curve there is 0.05 Ah difference per cell between 4.2v and 4v...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

So please tell us how do you solve a 50/50 tie in a vote after several rounds? Pick the stupidest solution and stamp "will of the people" on the result?

    48v systems

We could go on to a long argument about semantics and the English language but: "Due to the limitation of the voltage to 48 V DC, there are no special requirements applicable to the EPAC in regard to protection against electrical hazards." "Limitation" here in this sentence can only be read as a...

    48v systems

The thing is that EN15194 says 48v maximum and a 48v battery is 54.6v hot off the charger... The German guys break the law quite a bit power wise, they are law abiding when it comes to safety though, I don't think you would find many riding recklessly around other people. But out on the open...

Because tax is only for the less well off, rich speculators don't pay tax (or as little as their accountants can get away with).

    The new best headlight

Can't use it on my roads. Mine is flat at the top and wider. One day I'll like my camera again and take it out.

Hi guys, old man's attempt at getting fit!

Ask what cells the battery uses. With the 750 W motor you want 15A or even better 20A brand name cells.

    Number Two

1609 km (1000 mi) report I did a 50 km shopping run to the Asian supermarket today. On the way home I changed down to the 32 tooth chainwheel because besides Basque Country hills I had a sack of rice and other stuff in the panniers. Result 5.82 Wh/km! Average speed 21.6 km/h. I don't know...

    Spokes for 26" BPM

Sapim strong are 2mm spokes except at the bend where they are 2.3mm, they would be my first choice. Velomobile wheels are often built with aero spokes, so even less than 2mm in the blade section.
