    Anti theft devices

I never leave my pedelec unlocked even when I run in for a loaf of bread. Sometimes it is just locked and not attached to anything but that is very rare and always when I am in sight. I do leave the trike unlocked when in sight with just the parking brakes on. It is even harder to pick up and...

    Fascism returns to Spain

What the numbers on the Guardian didn't show when I looked is that the 70 seats were won with 48% of the votes. On Spanish (left wing) TV there was also quite a few people interviewed who voted for Catalan parties but who are against the declaration of independence. So as you say tillson oh...

A rare piece of history - Swizzbee

The other problem with the Swizzbee is that it is so unique you can't sell it without it getting spotted.

    which kit for 22mile ride?

You probably need a spacer to mount a 7 speed cassette on an 8 speed hub, I did. Often they come with the cassette.

what capacity cells would be in 36v 17ah battery

You need to have soldering tabs mounted to the cell, Nkon charge 0.55€ for that so it adds 33€ to the cost of the cells in my case. You can't solder directly to the end of the battery without risk of overheating and damaging the cell (much more expensive than having tabs mounted). An arduino...

what capacity cells would be in 36v 17ah battery

We have some nice roads on the other side of the border which have +20% slopes so even a small (6 Amps difference is actually more than my 26F is rated for!) difference in C rate is more important to me than 3 or 4 Ah extra capacity - 15 Amps continuous discharge wins hands down. What price did...

what capacity cells would be in 36v 17ah battery

My Samsung 26F 10.4 Ah bottle cost so far about 0.06 €/km which is fine by me, much cheaper than taking the bus. In the coming year I am going to get a welder and start to make my own batteries. Using HK Graphene LiPo was my first choice but they never have the size I need in stock in the EU...

    Help Changing Bosch Display

I am over 60 and spent quite a bit of my life learning about technology then teaching it to kids less than half my age. That said I don't believe in fluff and most of today's "essential" technology seems to be solutions someone thought up for problems which don't exist. I think a bluetooth...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The last time I was on a road in the UK was 1980 or so and there was already too much traffic (daytime, outside of busy hours). As for the B roads (?) they are narrow, twisty and totally un-adapted for dense car traffic let alone the lorries that use them!
