The Aero and 3 wheeler are bang upto date...the " four" stuck in around 1940..I went on tour of factory and was amazed just how old technology is on 4...Leaf springs, live axle but not 5 linked as on live Westfield. Sliding pillar front suspension , handles awful but full orde books. Wouldn't have a,4 but both 3 wheeler and Aero rather different...
Cant fault build process tho...very hands on by real craftsmen.
Shades of my Old Science Master when he demonstrated a Wimshurst Machine.

Almost certainly not!

Moreover, if you asked across the EU or, indeed, right across the international community, the answer would be the same. It ranks as one of the greatest peacetime acts of stupidity ever committed by any country.

Worth a Darwin award methinks, it is after all like filling a condom with oven cleaner before using it:eek:

And still around in the pseudo-car dual cab pickups today. I'm suffering these on my Mitsubishi L200 dual-cab, the treacherous rear handling is unbelievable, and that's from someone with years of truck driving experience.
.
Yep, afraid you are right. Everyone wrote live axles off years ago but as Westfield and Ford proved its not a flawed concept in itself but how its engineered. A 5 linked ( two trailing arms either side and a panhard rod accross) plus coil over shocks can actually give a live axle benefits over independent.( put power down better) Westfields set up as above will match absolutely anything. ( Caterhams use Dedion which isn't live or independent really)...
Morgan could do same but dont, they could fit disc brakes on back, double wishbone at front etc etc but dont. Cant figure out why...wouldnt alter character or look of car...dont get it at all...( but they offer all above as mods...so perhaps they are being very clever?)
The 3 wheeler is different. Its an ancient concept but has double wishbone front...a much stiffer chassis, an mx5 gearbox and a wonderful sounding V twin. ( based on Harley) Its even belt drive somewhere between gearbox and crown wheel/ pinion. ( Obviously it doesn't need a diff)
I love the 3 wheeler but £30 k plus when an MX5 is 24...no way..
The new MX5 Sky Activ is epitome of a modern sports car. The Morgan 4 is epitome of an old one. It feels like it to drive too...

And your point ? Quite obvious its an electric one...there,s a bloody great V twin missing off front of yours( Which is an EV3)
I,d guess its way more fun than Tesla....you cant compare them...One is a mode of transport...other just brings pleasure. You decide which way around...
Its still a Morgan three wheeler...even if its electric. Think it would suit car ..Its brilliant.
Mind you so is the Tesla.

Of course, its even got an extra headlight where the engine should be to emphasise its electric drive nature!

And no mudguards to emphasise the open top nature of fair weather use only.

Designed for those who can't immediately grasp the obvious. ;)

From the Guardian an example of the way that we "Protect our Borders"

And of course between us and Smugglers, illegal Immigrants, Foreign Fishing Fleets, and even Barbary Pirates who may well take up their old trade of raiding our coastal villages and taking slaves.
Sovereignty? we can't afford it, can we? or rather we WONT.

Damian Green has resigned - let's have more good news like that! Another nonce case in the tory ranks bites the dust.

Tom
But it’s all the fault of the police for bringing the lies to the attention of the public. Green is just a victim.

I feel a “modernisation of policing” coming on.

At the risk of repeating myself. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders are blaming the uncertainty over Diesels.

https://www.smmt.co.uk/2017/12/uk-car-market-declines-november-confusion-diesel-continues-impact-market/
They are saying that the confusion over diesels has had an impact.

I'm not sure why its not had the same impact in other countries, or why if you don't want a diesel you wouldn't just buy a petrol, but we'll not worry about those details.

It also the diesel confusion doesn't explain why bike sales are down by a million in the UK this year, or why toy sales are down by 9% (according to the toy industry guy on the BBC this morning).

Perhaps this might be having more of an impact than, some industries feel able to publicly admit.

I'm not sure what % profit margin most households in the UK operate on, but if your wages are going down now, and they were going up last year I can see why people aren't buying as much stuff.

The news about Damian Green's err.....'resignation'.....from the Cabinet has drawn much mirth from many quarters and were it not so serious and close to the heart of government, it would be comical in the extreme.

Just how many Cabinet ministers does a PM have to lose before being recognised as someone with very poor judgement?

Some of the comments from social media are amusing nonetheless.....in a way that discredits the UK even more than the shenanigans of the last year:

@davidschneider

When negotiating you need to make sure you're absolutely trustworthy, that your word is your bond.

In unrelated news, David Davis who said he'd resign if Damian Green was sacked, isn't going to resign.

@alexnunns

Green's sacking is currently being spun into: "This shows May is strong & decisive because she sacked her friend". She did sack him—for lying—after an investigation found he'd lied, & rather than act decisively she got a second opinion, which found he'd lied. How is that strong?

Maybe people have realised that the 32” Bluapunkt flat screen telly on sale in their local Tesco isn’t such a bargain.

Gosh !

Brexit Secretary David Davis threatened to resign if Damian Green was sacked - but he's 'changed his mind'
No surprise there! Once an inveterate liar and bulls hitter, always a liar and bulls hitter.

I have a real difficulty with the constituents who elected this pile of poo and do nothing about it when he repeatedly lies and incompetently fumbles his way through the most important piece of negotiation ever undertaken by a UK government in peacetime.

He should be deselected from his seat and an honest candidate found to represent those people at a subsequent by-election. In any other occupation, he would have been summarily dismissed for sheer incompetence long ago.

That the tory voters of Haltemprice and Howden seem to find this creature's conduct appropriate or acceptable speaks volumes about grassroot tories everywhere. His performances, both in Brussels and in the H of C, shame this country.

His constituents would do well to remember the words of Edmund Burke:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
