Oxydrive Bike Kit

Featured Replies

Hi

I purchased an Oxydrive bike kit with a 700 25 wheel to go on my bike but i would like to buy a new bike with wider tyres. Does anyone know if I can use the existing motor and build a new wheel with a larger rim size ? Or do i have to buy a new wheel and motor already built ?

Dylan

There's nothing to stop you getting whatever rim you want and lacing to the hub-motor.

Thanks for your help

How much wider? 25C rim accepts tyres from 42 to 62 mm wide.

My frame is too narrow but maybe I could get a bike so I don't have to change the motor thanks

Hi could I buy a wider rim for this with the additional holes ?. Or do i have to drill holes in a standard rim. The site seems to be down atm. Thanks

You have to buy a rim with 36 holes. You can't drill extra holes because the spacing would be wrong.
