Is this the begining of the rise of the Machines?

We have plenty of intelligent human beings, we are just a little short on politicians with a smidgen of common sense...

A random thread for things too unimportant for their own thread...

If I have the means later I would like to have an un-powered trike with skinny road tyres and as light as possible as well as a pedelec one.

    I'm bent!

Rolled it... Too fast in an off camber corner and it chucked me off. You don't fall very far, about 20 cm but I do have a bruise on my shoulder and a scuffed cycling jacket. No other damage than to my pride. :(

Turnigy Graphene, has anybody used them?

Just put +8000 mAh back in the Graphene which I had used from storage voltage of around 38.3v down to 36.9v. It took all of 53 minutes to charge to 41.2v

Is this the begining of the rise of the Machines?

My devices have power switches controlled by me, they can't turn themselves off and on they are previous generation (out of date) and if I pull the phone plug out my appartement is an unconnected fortress. :) The building is opened by a key (metal one). No smart phone so you can't track my...

    Recomemd me a brake upgrade

But you don't need to spend that much money, the HS11 on my bike is on the original brake blocks after over 5000 km! On the first much lighter bike I could do stoppies and it stops the 23+ kg of the big big and a trailer full of shopping without blinking an eyelash.

    Need details about this controller.

Is it worth it? Your battery isn't going to last very long with that motor, my guess is a few weeks at most.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

After months and many thousands of pounds spent on research boffins in white coats have decided that passports should in fact be blue. I know you are all getting a warm buzz from this except those who have Irish passports and they are green with envy. A petition is probably being set up at this...

What's the deal with frequently broken spokes?

Ginkgo who I have cited frequently as a source for correct length Sapim spokes builds wheels for trikes and vélomobiles. They have a wheel building service which delivers wheels only after they have been de-stressed for obvious reasons. The first time I rode my trike was the first time I have...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

In the EU outside of the Netherlands and Denmark e-bikes are probably mostly used for leisure by the young (?) and by retired people. I don't think the EBMA is interested in clean transport at all. So they want to preserve their small market of large profit margin bikes - eMTB for example. What...

You only need one Magura hydraulic, on the front. Keep your current brake on the rear.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You can imagine them dreaming of ways to get revenge over upper crust England and one bright spark says "I know, we'll beat them at cricket!"
