    Brexit, for once some facts.

very good question, couild it be because "we" are lazy, overindulged, overentitled slobs who have cultivated a narcissitic delusion that the world has to (and will) come to us to meet our needs? This certainly seems a refrain in some of this thread.

nah, i'm OK with what's about to happen. speaking for myself, i'm really not into "told you so" BS. In the words of wilfred bion, words are highly overvalued. experience is not, and what's coming (have a look at Carney's speech) is, in fact, really coming.

i wish you were right, unfortunately some voters have to well and truly pee on the plug before they realsie it's live. also, i'm in principal in fvour of full integration with the eu - i like living in a civilised society. i respect the fact that some out voters equally for principled reasons...

okeydokey, here's a simple article on the relationship between the account deficit and the value of the pound - and why it will devalue by at least 30% as aresult of it. I'm sure robdon will find it funny. I guess jeering is easier than acknowledging one does not understand.

I can understand some on this thread is of a demographic that do not have to be too concerned with longer term future and training and health care etc. I genuinely mean that sympathetically. in my way I'm also on escape route, so what's about to happen isn't terminally distressing. my reason for...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

i hate to rain on the happy parade in this thread, but those who read this factual article https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/gbp-live-today/5118-gbp-to-eur-and-current-account will gather that the pound IS heading for parity with the euro (yes brendan, it will have lost a third of its value in...

i wouldnt dream of criticisnig all of the astute market analysis on this forum, but if you lot foudn time to glance at this https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/eur/5102-pound-to-euro-forecast-399844 you may realise that brief fluctuations mean nothing

no - Brendan this my final attempt to get through to you: I'm not trying to frighten anyone and I don't really take much interest in what bacteria like farage utter. I don't really take much interest in race or immigration. there is a very, very large lump of **** coming our way. And its about...

other than the fact that race is a hypothetical construct without basis in fact, this particular little island (that has just done the equivalent of put its head in a crocodiles mouth, voluntarily, without any reason, whatsoever), consists of - arguably - very many "races"

    Brexit, for once some facts.

no, I'm not throwing stones at farage or Johnson (they are not worth it). there you go still talking party politics. I'm well aware that the both in and out contained tory and labour supporters. this isn't about party politics. it is about the values underpinning the brexit movement. Farage's...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the story is revealing: of voters and politicians who project their own failure onto immigrants. so they do not deal with their own lack of productivity, achievement - and get rid of that part of the state/economy that was supporting them. this isn't about the debates during the referendum, it's...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I imagine there must be situations in which "shut up and get on with it" is an appropriate response. Trying to manage the fallout from the biggest act of economic vandalism any member of the G7 has ever inflicted on itself isn't one of them.

priceless, and you think what's happening is about party politics.

I've often wondered what it must be like to be a lemming. I'll get back to you about that in a few weeks when reality has, finally, dawned on you.

no, its not over, it's just started (the fact that you think its over says much about you), by the way you and other brexitters will be doing the "getting over it" for quite some time. Really, my post was euphemistic.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I've deliberately omitted it because its sincerely not how it works. I wont rehash all the stuff on this thread about EU versus Westminster representation. much better to wait and see what happens over the next few months. I hope I'm wrong, but I think well all see opting out of an...
