    Smaller, subtle 48v battery options?

If you use a KT LCD-3 you can set it and get down to about 3.5v per cell so yes you miss out on the last 0.2v. On the other hand the Sanyo is rated for over 4100 mAh so... I was being pessimistic when I said 8 Ah :)

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A finger pointed down from the sky and POW, ZAP BOOM! J-C Junker was suddenly EU high commissioner. There, does that better suit your world view instead of the truth and facts?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Who appoints it? The people you voted for to represent you, they are doing what you asked them to do. There is an error in that text, it proposes directives, only national governments can make laws. And they are not democratically elected or are they?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The centre-right European People’s party (EPP) candidate, Jean-Claude Juncker, defeated his Socialist rival Martin Schulz in 2014 after the EPP emerged as the biggest party in that year’s elections. EU leaders were presented with a fait accompli and felt compelled to accept Juncker despite...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That isn't what the document you published says, it says there is a perception of lack of democracy. We can agree on one point: that the Commission proposes directives and those directives are suggested to the Commission by powerful lobbying organisations with vested interests that may not be...

Is a hub motor for me?

That is why I said "if you are a R/C fan", I wouldn't encourage any newcomer to go the route of cheap, unlimited power without previous knowledge! :D

Is a hub motor for me?

You have a cheap bottle battery? Get another one and wire them in parallel or if you are a R/C fan and have some LiPo around build a booster pack. I have a Mxus rear hub and if I add some Welly it will easily climb 10% + at 24 km/h on the road.

83.6% Anti-Dumping Tariff on Chinese E-bike. Where the Market will go?

How many milliwatts does that badge on the side cost you? I was looking at a Toyota Plug-in-hybrid the other day which has a huge badge saying just that which must cost a heap in aerodynamics! These designers are supposed to be worried about extending range but they are fixing the problem the...

With the distances and the state of the roads it is logical that there is no speed limit. I have read that NZ drivers don't like cyclists? This is of some interest to me as we have begun talking about a Cape to Bluff run with my GF.

83.6% Anti-Dumping Tariff on Chinese E-bike. Where the Market will go?

Was it on your web site that a couple of years ago I read "we don't sell outside of the UK and NI"? The EU is your market, you are in the EU.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Young people in the south (and other parts of) of Spain work, just not in jobs where they are declared as workers. The grey and black economy are still there after 40 odd years of moving from a fascist dictatorship to a democratic constitutional monarchy. So are the fascists...
