    Brexit, for once some facts.

The refugee crisis has nothing to do with Schengen, it is created because of war and poverty in the countries the migrants are fleeing. I have not heard one single politician from the extreme left to the extreme right suggesting that it might be better to treat the crisis at it's source. Of...

    GSM Motor Gear Change Sensor

In other threads I got cheeky remarks about my superior shifting technique but I have only been using click shifters for about 3 and a half years! Shifting on the trike without a motor goes clunk and I have that down to the quality of the rear derailleur and/or the precision of the shifter...

Move 3 kg half an inch? Sure it can have a huge impact on balance.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The ones that feel insecure are often the ones furthest from the border zones. I see people all the time who are out of their comfort zone when they cross the border into Spain, we call them "les français de France". They are only there for cigarettes and cheap Ricard. Here many people speak two...

    GSM Motor Gear Change Sensor

If it clunks you're doing something wrong  On a road bike it doesn't so I guess you are riding off road? I am using a 7 speed Acera derailleur at the moment with an 11-32 cassette (a 12-32 actually but I swapped the small gear).

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The EU will be better off without people who don't understand how it works and yet who permit themselves to judge it...

Which Off-road/ Hybrid for disabled speedster?

At Spezi (German special bike show) this year there were a significant number of off road trikes some of which which mix hand power, leg power and electrical assist. Not cheap but no more expensive than some other mobility solutions.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It is "A national service" not a national military service, the military are going to run it and probably teach things like first aid, survival techniques and whatnot. 16 year old kids from some parts already know what an AK47 looks like and how it works... It would be good if they could do...

Upgrade - From Haibike Bosch CX to Cheapo BBS01

I am not sure but I narrowed my Q factor by about 2.5 cm compared with the ones that came with the GSM.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

https://granta.com/the-waste-land/ When you read this the brexit folly becomes much clearer. The UK has always had silly ideas, sometimes they are brilliant and improve things. Those are the rare ones unfortunately...

They are working on having two different cut off limits, one for "off road" as well as the standard road legal 25 km/h.

Apparently the mode switching doesn't work with the KT yet. You plug it in to the LCD socket on the controller and the phone app gives the setup stuff plus statistics. I am writing to them again about the KT version and if the reply is satisfactory will buy one next month.

Use a Q100C to keep a decent cassette and gearing and lose weight from the battery and elsewhere. - Q100C - wide range cassette and single chainwheel = weight savings - Magura HS11 front hydrualic brake, Avid digit rear = weight savings over disk brakes. Get a bike with V-brake fork of course...

    Flats v spd

I have done that with old fashioned straps and clips! Straps always used to cut blood circulation after a few tens of km, this is just comfort and relaxation! I hope that when the head/neck rest arrives and is installed that I don't fall to sleep at the bars while riding :D

You appear to have signed up for quaint and old fashioned, that's what the tourists come for. :D The US has worse rail and have you seen the pot holes in Boston? Hens nest capable of holding dozens of hens... When I have passed through Heathrow I have always thought of it as an airport where...

:) didn't wait, started doing that on the third ride! So I don't have to worry about falling over (three wheels) and I don't have to worry about my feet and their position on the pedals either. So relaxing! When I get to destination I reach over my shoulder and grab my street shoes out of the...

    Flats v spd

Last week I bit the bullet and got a set of SPD-SL pedals and some shoes. Why didn't I do that years ago? Yesterday I did my flat road trike training ride - 26 km in one hour with a stop for water at the halfway point and a slow section in town. 26 km/h average! I average about 26.7 km/h on...
