    BBS02 battery options

    1) No a 15 A 36v GSM is capable of those speeds, a BBS01 too I guess 2) What cells does it have? Any 10 A and above discharge brand name cell in that configuration will be fine 3) Wheel size? Cassette choice? I run a 42 with 28" wheels and it is a tad too small, a 44 would be better. With a 26"...

    Battery building help

Good on you! d8veh has one of those IIRC besides the price what put me off is they can be a bit of a lottery. They can be easy to fix/upgrade from what I have read on ES. They need a high discharge 3S or 4S LiPo brick, one capable of +130A burst discharge. As I already have LiPo and chargers...

Charging 2 x 10 Ah bricks at 1C with a couple of 20A Turnigy Reaktor chargers (iCharger repackaged) and a 540W power supply. Total charge time with balancing from about 37v is in total 40 minutes for Graphene and 45 minutes for Multistar. Other stats: the chargers draw 21-22 Amps (total for...

    Bike Security

A D lock and a frame lock, first with cable and second with chain are my kit. Lock your bike to something, take a photo and if anything bad happens show the photos before/after to your insurance guy. I am insured for replacement value. I am looking for a frame lock for the trike at the moment...

My LiPo charges are 35 odd minutes charging and the last 5-8 minutes balancing. You can watch it happen on the LCD on the charger.

Project: Carrera Kraken conversion with BBSHD

The bike taxi guy here has one of those weird trikes with a seat at the back and a roof (IIRC someone on here bought one a couple of years ago). It has a BBS02 36v 500 W motor and the trike weighs 147 kg. He has moped rims and tyres, very large diameter hydraulic disk brakes, a nuvinci hub...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

That is about the speed limit (5km/h) on cycle paths in San Sebastian where pedestrians mix with bikes, 10 or 15 km/h elsewhere on cycle paths. In Irun the limit is 30 km/h on the street for all vehicles including bikes - I'm afraid that I have broken that limit a couple of times, they have very...

No they used a long cage derailleur on that particular model (see photo), all their other models have short cages with enough road clearance. The easy fix is to replace with the 10 speed Zee but it is a 45€ fix...

But you know as well as I do that as soon as the EU funding is gone the UK govt will not honour it's promise on projects like this, the money will be needed elsewhere "for more important things"...

Google is evil but not quite as evil as facejunk. At least they (Google) tell you that your data will be used to target advertising at you, the other lot take your data and do as they please with it. You can use the Google drive and Google photos to store stuff and it will be available from all...
