    Looking for a folder

I have been looking at folding bikes for a while especially since the tiny Xiongda YTW-06 arrived. Today came across a promo for an Ortler, ooops Ortler, derailleur fail... One buyer comment on the site: "derailleur touched twice in the first 600 meters, bike unusable..."

    what type of multimeter?

I have a Hobbyking one that cost about 5€ and which works just fine. I got a set of wires with different probes etc for a couple of € from aliexpress. I do have to change the battery in the multimeter because it has become weak after a couple of years.

advice on BBSHD and alternatives to build a touring/hybrid bike

You don't need a HD on a road/touring bike a 350W BBS02 is plenty. A GSM from Woosh will do 42-45 km/h on the flat with a 36v battery and a 15 A external controller (tested by me), it probably weighs about 2 kg less than the BBSHD. Take the same, add a 17 A controller and a 48v battery and you...

You will need to move your derailleur out quite a bit, there are adaptors from problem solvers that will work.

    Sanyo NCR vs Samsung 29E

The other option is a custom made battery with 20700 cells: - 4000 mAh - 15 Amp discharge Capacity and high discharge at 4P13S. My current project is to build a 20 Ah battery using 2 x 5P6S bricks in series - no BMS, balance charged by the lipo chargers I have and with the LVC set to 38.5v on...

KT controllers - KT-LCD6 now displays cadence

Yes it is on my list of "things to buy maybe" for about a year now :) At the moment I am leaning towards a cheap Chinese cadence meter which I can use on the un-motorised trike. When it does get motorised it will have two screens anyway and I was kind of hoping the LCD would be replaced by an...

    Puncture avoidance

<joke mode on> What is a puncture? </joke mode> Seriously I have over 8000 km on three different bikes and only one sidewall on a rear hub motor wheel which gave up after 3600 km. It was a Michelin tire. With puncture protection, had pulled a couple of screws and tacks out of it during use...

Oxygen S-Cross CB or Wisper 905 torque mk2.

No a certain number of magnets need to pass in front of the sensor and on mine that is 2 so less than 1/4 of a revolution (12 magnet disk). A BBS0x or GSM has even more magnets so it is almost instant.

    Kalkoff Integrale 8 Belt ,Grey,Crossbar,50cm

They also degrade over time without being used very much - inside the battery there is a chemical reaction going on. You can slow the chemical reaction by keeping the battery charged to about 80% or 38.5v in the case of a 36v battery. 3 years is maximum shelf life.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

In the real world about 8% unemployment is considered full employment because in those countries people are in real jobs with real wages. And I think you are much more intelligent when you talk about bikes than when you talk about politics...
