    Bafang Colour Display DPC-14

I found this German company: https://www.e-bike-technologies.de/index.php/en/wiring-harness/bafang-bbs/bbs-kabelbaum-nach-ma%C3%9F-ohne-bremsschalter-detail They make custom Bafang harnesses and extension cables for reasonable money, even without throttle and/or brake sensors. I will give...

    Bafang Colour Display DPC-14

Did query this with the company, they didn't mention this, but did mention they where out of stock of the extensions which along with the fact that I'm in a different country probably explains it, still annoying

    Bafang Colour Display DPC-14

$12 postage - so with current exchange rate not a lot less than the £80 you can get it for in the UK from brightonbikes and if you add the potential risk of VAT/Duty/Royal Mail Admin Charge, it's probably not worth the effort.

    Bafang Colour Display DPC-14

Just imported one to the UK from Luna as it was $65 (got away with no duties too), think it's also available for £80 from brightonebikes. It does have USB to charge a phone which I will use with an Ordanance Survey map subscription. Impressed with display so far but.... 1. The cable is half the...

    Bosch Dongle Options

Given that I started this thread, time for an update. The duff SX2 dongle has been replaced by a ASA eSpeed B25.13 from ebiketuning.com. This dongle is excellent and does all it states, speed reading is correct and there are further programming options to turn off, change wheel size, allow the...

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

    1. Seems to be mostly an issue for manufacturers and retailers because... 2. In practice, how many times has any ebiker been stopped by plod for further inquiries in this area of the law? 3. One can put any fast ebike into moped status, just extra paperwork and cost. 4. Further down the line I...

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

Posted my BBS02 programming settings on another thread and I have motor cutoff set to 100ms, works fine, definitely do not need the brake cutoffs, did want to creep forward now and again without lurching, but some less agressive starting amps and a longer ramp up in the programming solves this...

    BBSxx throttle useful information

Finally got some parameters I like. Seems the two vital one's for controller longevity are "Basic" - 'Limited Current(A)' and "Pedal Assist" - 'Start Current%'. Both of mine were much higher to start and was very aggressive. Better now and I will reduce these settings a fraction every week and...

    Bosch Dongle Options

99% sure it's a gonner, I'll get around to a longer run, because it did start to work after a few miles before.

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

I'm trying the programmer soon and I know in that I can reduce the milliseconds between cutout when stopping pedalling and the 25 miles so far with no brake cutouts and default delay has been no issue, also tried emergency stop with the hydraulic rims and the motor has no chance, it's only...

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

Ta, I found the other thread, I'll try them out in the next couple of days, I'll have to stick them on underneath I think, the magura rims have no room within the hinge.

Me too, 3m usb extension just turned up from amazon as I'm stuck with a desktop PC. Much fiddling later.

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

I have the hydraulic cutoff switches, just haven't fitted them and am trying to be clever regarding other ideas. But as usual re-inventing the wheel doesn't work so I think this is next, looks like a small job, not sure about self adhesive though?

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

Just thought of an idea. You can buy brake lights for bicycles that work on inertia like the devices inside iphones. I have used one and they are instant. Investigations underway.

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

The creeping forward bit is a good point, I have nearly come a cropper on other bikes at asymmetric metal posts usually at the end of cycle paths to slow you down, I can usually drift through, but if I get it wrong then a bit of pedal pushes you straight into the posts. On the programming, I'll...

    BBSxx throttle useful information

Cheers, I needed some programming parameters for this. I have the usb/serial cable, just waiting for the 3m usb extension (not allowed to borrow the wife's laptop). I suspect my throttle is set to current which some say is variable, other say is static(ish). My basic setting are ok for me on my...

    Bosch Dongle Options

Isn't that the 3.3 badass dongle which is not the same type as the Sx2 although will work on the classic, it won't compare like for like.

    Bosch Dongle Options

Hucclecote, Gloucester. If it's not too far. Bring bike and we can swap dongles to fully test both. Mine says 'Sx2 #h48' on the side. Best start conversation if OK and arrangements/full addresses required.

    BBSxx throttle useful information

In the default mode my BBS02 came with PAS and throttle rpm in each level are the same or very close, the throttle is not 100% in every level, although it will be after programming. That's not what I meant anyway, the thumb throttle on my previous oxydrive hub motor was variable, this throttle...

    Bosch Dongle Options

Fairly sure the dongle is iffy, the only thing I get from moving it is working or not working. Currently not working wherever I put it. Losing patience, will try again when calmer. Any chance of a dodgy magnet? Actually someone confirm this should work in the stand without and assist, this is...
