Just imported one to the UK from Luna as it was $65 (got away with no duties too), think it's also available for £80 from brightonebikes. It does have USB to charge a phone which I will use with an Ordanance Survey map subscription. Impressed with display so far but....

1. The cable is half the length of the 961 display and doesn't reach the plug, still scratching my head on this one.
2. The assist levels appear limited to 3,5,9 and UBE (UBE is stated as factory default ????). I can choose anything on the older model - why?
3. I haven't tested the programming that I have done, assume this is irrelevant as I programmed the controller and the display (whichever one) will read that.

Anyone with any experience or knowledge of this display?

This LCD is a step in the right direction. I am an extremist and really just want to see the real time voltage of my battery and what assistance level I am in. All other information is on my GPS screen if and when I need it and that isn't on most of my rides.

The new display has an extension lead to bridge the gap...don't ask me why...it should have come with the LCD

$12 postage - so with current exchange rate not a lot less than the £80 you can get it for in the UK from brightonbikes and if you add the potential risk of VAT/Duty/Royal Mail Admin Charge, it's probably not worth the effort.

Did query this with the company, they didn't mention this, but did mention they where out of stock of the extensions which along with the fact that I'm in a different country probably explains it, still annoying

I found this German company:

https://www.e-bike-technologies.de/index.php/en/wiring-harness/bafang-bbs/bbs-kabelbaum-nach-maß-ohne-bremsschalter-detail

They make custom Bafang harnesses and extension cables for reasonable money, even without throttle and/or brake sensors.

I will give this a go as I did and do find it annoying when the cables are way too long and I've nowhere to strap them without it looking untidy or too short in this case.
strange, usually their cables are too long if anything,

whats the length of the new cable from the DPC-14?

shouldnt you be able to pull that cable coming out of the motor up a bit nearer the new display?

checked my BBS02 install and i had to double that cable up it was so long.

Except I had already cut it to the exact distance required and reconnected 18 months ago when building. You are correct in that when the kit is new there is plenty/way too much length and requires cutting or looping/tidying somehow.
