Thanks to both of you for the info. I had never heard of slime but thought if it works why not, however I suspected it would be a messy and unreliable product. We have Kenda puncture resistant tyres on both bikes and keep a high pressure.

Thanks LP, that's the one and trust me it really is the business. I say again, how is it only £28??? I have used it many times and the quick release clamp, joints and legs are as good as new. The fold up operation including the flat feet is a work of art. Very clever.
