I reckon the cost of doing that is the reason. I don't know what would be involved to switch large currents of DC voltage on in small track sections, but it does sound very expensive. Train travel is expensive enough as it is, without the companies passing on that cost to us.

Do all the buttons click positively? Thinking a button may be stuck on, locking out the functions. Water inside the switches would probably cause a similar issue.

Good advice tommie. There's 116 links in these chains. Luckily, I only require 104 of them, but some peeps might be running massive chainring and cassette combos.

Be sure to use a good torque arm, otherwise;

I would keep the max amps at 15A and program the 'Keep Current' to a higher level, up to a max of 100%. See if that improves performance.

I used the number of the links in the old chain for the length of the new one. In my haste, I miscounted and marked the breakage point in the wrong place. I'll pay more attention on the next one lol.

..... you stupidly break your new chain too short and end up ordering another one :oops:

But to change the settings you require a programming cable, which is about 20 quid. So you would be £10 out of pocket anyway.
