Its an e-bike forum, so no major surprises there for anyone!! But thanks for the reminder, some might have forgotten! But there will be few electrical cables, maybe for the front lights and the LCD, unless its a front hub motor....which wasn't on the photos! And the LCD should have a waterproof...

If I was doing this job, I would remove the clamp and handlebars first, to see what is underneath. Then I would check out on YouTube for a similar piece of bike. What is shown in the photos, I have not seen before, but under that may be "normal"possibly. Best of luck. Andy

Lock and alarm separate. I use an alarm, with remote control, hidden as a red rear light under the saddle. Just over 12 UK Pounds on ebay usually. Runs for about 2 to 3 weeks with one charge. No chains are 100%, but when removing it, the alarm will sound....very sensitive! Buy the best chain...

Some controllers are made for many/several wheel sizes, so selecting a smaller wheel should make the bike faster..... But not all controllers are made for such changes I am told. Maybe even replacing the controller with one with programming for different wheel sizes, might be a better...

Why do you imagine they are being sold? Because you say they don't work? Think about it!! Of course you can attach such a unit with just a modicum of knowledge....just need the correct unit for the nominal battery voltage.
