    Cube speed sensor

One of the measurements is wrong if there is a 5 cm difference. Also, the air pressure plays a role with the radius from hub to the ground... But I have to agree that a little over 2.3% difference does seem too little to make 1 mph difference i speed, it should only make about 0.35 MPH...

    Battery & charger advice please?

Have you checked your meter against a known good meter, or two? Just a thought! Andy

    Cube speed sensor

Easily. Can you measure the exact circumference of both of them still, I bet the difference will show that 1 MPH difference easily. Best of luck Andy

    Battery & charger advice please?

I probably cannot answer all your queries on the strange behaviour of the Battery/voltage/charger sadly, as I have never seen anything like it myself. Hopefully someone else has and can assist! I would imagine that you have 18650 Li-ion cells, thats usual nowadays. They are available everywhere...

    Newbie query

I can only say "well done" as well as "not well done!" Very pleased that you found the main problem, but sorry about the new one. Have you checked everything is correctly connected? Have you made sure that the battery is charged? I think personally that any serious e-biker needs a small tool...

    Newbie query

Excellent idea, all for it, except that as it is brand new, never run, that motor should be replaced by the seller I feel, not repaired by the "buyer". Which could possibly negate any further guarantee.... Andy

    Newbie query

When a 3 phase motor is shorted in some way (or in fact almost any electrical motor, DC or AC, single phase or 3 phase is shorted), it resists turning to some degree, but it will turn. This used in many sittuations to brake and prevent runaway, it is called "Dynamic Braking!" There is a...

    Battery

When I see such posts, I am reminded of that very old but true saying:- "you can lead a horse to water, but he must drink all on his own!" What I have not seen here as yet, are some informed discussions about any of my posts, or posting some viable "evidence" to prove a point either way.... But...

With the battery removed/physically disconnected, can you turn it then..... regards Andy

    Battery

I agree that you yourself probably find it very misleading, you need a background in engineering to understand fully some of the concepts I have mentioned, so please do not be ashamed that your education does not suffice to understand everything. I try to make it simple, but maybe I do not...

    Battery

So you are not sure of which model of bike the OP is talking about? Furthermore, surely mentioning such varied and possible options are part of our "job" here to suggest, and the job of the owner to decide how he wants to go on or not? We simply give him possible ideas I feel, helpful ones...

    Total Battery failure

Take it back to the seller as fast as you can. Do not try and fix it yourself.... regards Andy

    Battery

Now why would he want to continue with them? But of course he can choose what he wishes! I assumed that he came here for good up to date advice! As he would be far better off with a voltage equivalent, good quality Li-ion battery., instead of heavy old Lead Acid. Li-ion are lighter, have...

    Shout out for Wisper

I read somewhere, in the last 12 months, that e-bike users are generlally fitter than "normal bike" riders. Simply because they use their e-bikes more, and are far less likely to jump in the car to go down to the shops!! Plus they always have a breeze from behind, never a "head wind!" I just...

    Help! Dc/Dc converter

Thats probably a good decision anyway, as many bikes batteries switch themselves off when the battery "says" its empty. (Simply to prevent battery damage!) Some bikes allow the rear light only for a time. After it happened to me some years ago, I always had AA and AAA battery driven lights, as...

    Voodoo

You might want to check with some of the Bosch experts here. I myself saw lots of problems online here in Germany, with the early models, but apparently (I am told) these problems are fixed, but that is all "hearsay" when I say it, as I have never even ridden one.... Check the age/version of...

    Shout out for Wisper

I believe that you are one of many thousands each year, who denounce e-bikes, but without trying them out! I am pleased for you that you are now convinced otherwise, you have made a good decision! Enjoy! regards Andy

    Battery

You have received the correct answer already I see that you requested, but do make sure that you learn exactly how to keep your new battery in a good working condition. There are a lot of people around who THINK they know, but some here are getting very poor mileage from new batteries....that...
