It sounds as though you have set them up so that they are rubbing, eg. too tight. They get hotter and hotter, expanding slightly, and getting hotter faster and noisier. The next time it happens, lick your finger and see it they are hot! Cooling them down wit fluid,, simply starts the process...

First thing, you need a digital multi meter, if you do not already have one. Measure the voltage of the battery and note the nominal voltage of the battery. Mention both vales here. Then measure the voltage coming out of the charger, note that also here. This could be a good start. Regards Andy

May I suggest a few clear photos first? I tend to repair stuff rather than replace it, as I myself weld Stainless and most other steels. But I also use alcohol for deep cleaning and then (wearing rubber surgeons gloves) I use 2 component glues to repair and strengthen other damage in plastic...
