    Help! Numb Hands

Sounds really good! But if they are too wide, get a piece cut out on each side and get them welded/Glued back together, with a supporting piece of tube in the middle. Say you take out 10 cm, that is 2 x 5 cm. Take that part, cut a slit with a piece out, till with a bit of fiddling, it goes...

    Help! Numb Hands

You might need to get your upper body vertical, reducing the pressure/weight on your hands and arms. Raising the handlebars, or even changing them for ones that are "farther back" at the grips, may need to be done. You are not alone, its a common problems with older people.... Best of luck Andy

    Help please( reversed polarity damage)

Thats really good, no Hall effect sensors! One problem solved! I have seen brushed motor e-bike controllers on ebay, but far less often...sadly! Something like this maybe...

    Help please( reversed polarity damage)

First, I must compliment you on your work up to now, always good to "have go". But sadly, I have to agree with another poster here, that its unlikely that the MOSFETs will have survived....and diodes, some polarised caps will also taken a "hit!". Even if not YET defective, they may be...

    Sqeaking brakes

My brakes are quite cheap, even the replacement caliper I bought when the plastic adjuster was made brittle and broke from sunlight (UV!) on the front wheel, a replacement caliper (what I needed) and a good thick disk, cost €11 (about 10 UK pounds?) on ebay, BUT, as I have mentioned before...

    Sqeaking brakes

Its sad that apparently so few people here are open to a new idea, and condemn it out of hand, without actually trying it.... I believe tat the problem brakes have been made wrongly, spokes wrong made....too thin or wrong material possibly. We need a fe here with the problem, willing to swap the...

    Squeaking Bosch Performance CX motor

I guess you know, but I'll say it anyway, just for safety, "Do not open up anything", as it will null your guarantee. I decided a long time ago never to buy certain things anymore from some manufacturers, one of them was Bosch. The reason is that here in Germany, there are a great many forums...

Noisy Breaks but not pad twitter on the rotors.

It sounds as though you have set them up so that they are rubbing, eg. too tight. They get hotter and hotter, expanding slightly, and getting hotter faster and noisier. The next time it happens, lick your finger and see it they are hot! Cooling them down wit fluid,, simply starts the process...

    Coyote connect

That sounds all good provided you have a battery nominal 24 volts. (which I am pretty certain you have!) I don't know the bike electrics you have myself, but with the information you just supplied, someone should be able to help you further. Many batteries have a big fuse somewhere, not always...

    Coyote connect

First thing, you need a digital multi meter, if you do not already have one. Measure the voltage of the battery and note the nominal voltage of the battery. Mention both vales here. Then measure the voltage coming out of the charger, note that also here. This could be a good start. Regards Andy

    Sqeaking brakes

But it must reduce the efficiency of the brake(s), as WD40 is a penetrating lubricant..... I use it for many things, but not on brakes.... Andy

    Sqeaking brakes

I am simply surprised that apparently nobody else here has tried it, other than myself.... Just as I suggested, only on a squealing front brake first.....easy to check, 5 minutes work, tops! It would have helped to know either way on such a disk, which I have not got myself.... Are there no...

Elife La Grande electric bike battery carrier

May I suggest a few clear photos first? I tend to repair stuff rather than replace it, as I myself weld Stainless and most other steels. But I also use alcohol for deep cleaning and then (wearing rubber surgeons gloves) I use 2 component glues to repair and strengthen other damage in plastic...

I forgot to mention the quiz results, my apologies to all concerned:- Answers for the Disk Brake Quiz are:- 1. Wrong. 2. Wrong. 3. Immaterial most likely. 4. Wrong. 5. Correct. 6. Immaterial. 7. Immaterial 8. Wrong. 9. Wrong. 10. Correct. Assuming that my method is correct, look around you just...

    Sqeaking brakes

For example, on a spoked bike wheel, the spokes are arranged, in tension, to keep the wheel stable in forward, backward, and even with pressure while riding, from either side. If you look at probably most, but certainly not all disk brake rotors (I am speaking generally), they are also made with...

    Sqeaking brakes

I think that we apparently live in two totally different worlds..... (Thank the good Lord for that!) You appear to be looking for an argument with someone, that's what I would call cyber bullying! Please be so kind as to simply and permanently ignore all my topics, posts and comments in the...

A shelf for a dog basket?

IMHO, that is exactly the right way to go! Add a small cushion for your little dog, with a layer of medium foam rubber, to suck up the bumps! Good work. Andy

    Sqeaking brakes

I did not see any put downs, I did not mention any names either, so where is the problem? Could you be so Kind as to point that out. I have had some poor experiences here with certain people, but I did not name them! Did you in some way "feel" that you were being addressed personally? But with...
