Her case was different in the sense that she complained about lack of action from the uni for her protection against bullies. The court decided that the uni did not fail her. For the sake of clarity, I think we need a link to James' case. Was he bullied by other students? Students usually sign a contract with their uni, promising to uphold the values of the institution. Such contracts weren't required in my days but my children did sign them.

I'm pretty sure he was. I remember thinking how unfairly he was treated. The main problem was the left wing class-mates disrupting the classes because of him. Instead of sorting them out, they kicked him out to solve it.

You didn't post a link. Anyway, Trump is trying to get Universities back to how they were in my day, when politics never came into the classroom. In fact all this was just starting at that time in LSE and the University of East Anglia.

My uni was a hot place for all sorts of militants, which is normal for the time, just google May 1968. I was only interested in the women, not their politics.
