Do you know that Trump and Musk are cutting 9 billions of dollars research grants to universities because they are too woke?Doge coin is nothing to do with Elon Musk. Brilliant. A guy I know got chucked out of his course for anti-transgender opinion that he expressed on social media. That was in the UK - Bristol Uni, IIRC. People in his class blocked him out of the classroom. Eventually some committee called him in and told him his stance on transgender wasn't compatible with the uni values, so he had to leave. I think they gave him a warning first not to express his opinion on social media. He was subsequently banned from most social media too. He was only doing things like visiting toy shops and complaining to the managers about explicitly sexual objects in the children's section, then moving them to the adult section.Do you know that Trump and Musk are cutting 9 billions of dollars research grants to universities because they are too woke?

I have no concerns if a woman wants to dress as a man and go about living ina fantasy world. I don't care if a man does the same. I have no antipathy to gay people being gay and doing what they want in private. I don't care what other people do in their personal lives. It's none of my business.Brilliant. That's an albatross.Too many pictures of cats on the internet; here's a picture of our dogView attachment 62033
The issue I found when trying to understand this debate was the complete lack of agreement amongst the parties and viewpoints involved on a common language/vocabulary to describe it.I have no concerns if a woman wants to dress as a man and go about living ina fantasy world. I don't care if a man does the same. I have no antipathy to gay people being gay and doing what they want in private. I don't care what other people do in their personal lives. That said, I will NEVER EVER start doing Alice in Wonderland nonsense like saying that a man is a woman or a woman is a man. These are fundamentals of the meaning of words and concepts rooted in absolute biological reality. Anything else is the Kings New Clothes nonsense. So a transgender woman for me is a man dressed as and acting as if he was a woman. I don't care if he does it, but I will NEVER call him she. That is so fked up, I'm having none of it. I won't treat him badly or mock him. He can do as he likes, but he doesn't get to tell me how to use the language. Where will it end? Will we be compelled to say a dog is a cat because the owner prefers it?
As for men competing in power sports against women? What a disgrace. What a madness. What unfairness. It is hard to believe we have ended up where we are on this.It has been driven by the madness of the left.
Don't get me started on my grand daughters having to get changed in a changing room with a man! Just let's not go there....
Universities and schools have been taken over by mad, left activists. It is well after time we got some common sense and stopped this stuff. There is reality and there is nonsense. There is no such thing as 'My Truth'. There is truth and there is falsehood. Fact and evidence. Objectivity and make believe. I'm voting with the real world.
No. His name is James. It was a similar situation to that girl. Maybe that's what set him off because he formed a group called "Students against tyranny". The same as that girl, he got bullied off his course by left wing activists, both students and staff. His course was more mainstream than that girl. Are you talking about the case of Ms Raquel Rosario Sanchez in April 2022?
In that case, the judge found in favour of the university.
Raquel Rosario Sanchez loses legal case over trans rights protests - BBC News
Ms Rosario Sanchez's comment after the case was concluded:
Bullying and Harassment Enabled by Bristol University
Her MA and PhD work focus on men who pay for sex.
Her case was different in the sense that she complained about lack of action from the uni for her protection against bullies. The court decided that the uni did not fail her. For the sake of clarity, I think we need a link to James' case. Was he bullied by other students? Students usually sign a contract with their uni, promising to uphold the values of the institution. Such contracts weren't required in my days but my children did sign them.No. His name is James. It was a similar situation to that girl. This is the sort of behaviour that Trump's trying to stamp out. Like me, he thinks it should be a place for open debate, where any idea can be fully thrashed out.
When I was at uni, we had debating nights, where you could hold any position you wanted and defend it in front of a multi-partisan crowd. There was every type of politics argued out as well as comical topics, like "Why watching Tom and Jerry was important for a balanced life" or "why you should cheer the cat and boo the mouse, not the other way round".
