I would like to feel sympathy for Gove.
Fortunately we of the Bell clan rarely suffer from it.
Not a survival trait in the Clan's line of work
It comes under the guideline
"Do unto others what they already did unto you"
Which fits him very neatly

Sounds like a little bromance there, would you not think of adopting him as a Clan Mascot?.

I still don't feel any empathy for him...
No I don't think I do either. I suspect it has finally dawned on him that he is in a cabinet run by someone totally unsuited to be PM at any time, least of all when trying to cope with a pandemic and the self inflicted wounds of a badly negotiated Brexit deal.

When he looks across the table he is going to see people promoted way beyond their capabilities their only qualifications for being in cabinet was their devotion to Brexit and their total loyalty to the clown in charge of the shambles.

Although I don't like Gove I have to admit he is probably the most capable member of the cabinet I wonder what he thinks sitting at that cabinet table and seeing the likes of Priti Patel, Dominic Raab and Gavin Williamson sitting across from him.

Graeme Andrew Logan (Gove) already has a clan
And we have better villains to chose from that Boris does among our own doing their "thing"
What I approved was this, nothing could impress the locals more in his home town than the classic trying to dodge the £5 entry fee.
We are talking about Aberdeen here remember?
Better than anything Cambridge Analytica dredged up for the referendum.

I can expand on that if I may he is certainly the most capably untrustworthy back stabbing blighter of the lot
But I'm sure he has some bad points too.

Just heard that there is a shortage of tubes in England, given the composition of the Cabinet I find that hard to believe.

And then there is this

Becton Dickinson has received ‘exceptional use authorisation’ to import blood tubes into the country.

If there is a global shortage, how did they import 9 million tubes?

E10 petrol. Who knew?

My campaign for the reintroduction of Five Star has been dealt a serious blow by this revelation.

I did!

My (entirely selfish) hope at the moment is E10 won't allow motor mowers to run properly. Hence they all all be replaced by much quieter electric/battery jobs.

Did you notice that Algeria just became the very last country to stop selling leaded petrol? Just the other day. Our change was so long ago, I'd not given any thought to the possibility it might have still been available anywhere.

While you are waiting...

Little hope of that, it's already being recommended that owners use E5 for them. With the small amounts mowers and other garden machinery uses, the price difference won't be noticed.

But I agree everyone should be changing to the best E of all, E - Lectricity.

I’ve just checked and fortunately my dog’s 16 year old Subaru Forester will run on the new petrol. The petrol that we are now growing instead of food. Meanwhile, parts of the world starve. This also means that I won’t need to scrap the dog’s car for him and buy a new one with a production carbon footprint of approximately 100,000 miles worth of driving.

This won’t give my neighbours any respite either, I run my chainsaw, hedge cutters, pole trimmer and leaf blower off Stihl MotoMix (£31.99 for 5 litres:(). Great stuff, never goes off. Can’t beat Stihl gear.

I have started to invest in battery garden equipment. I’ve got a Stihl battery mower and line trimmer / brush cutter. Both are brilliant and have very adequate power & performance. I’ll replace the two-stroke gear as and when it packs up, but with Stihl, that may be a long time coming.

I suppose if you buy a second hand car, your carbon footprint would be reduced to just the petrol you put in the tank.
it's my excuse anyway, I don't drive much nowadays.

Well since my car is now 1O , it is effectively second hand ... or 3 rd hand.
