All viruses mutate and no vaccine is 100%. That’s why you have a flu jab each year. The good news is that Coronavirus is likely to mutate at a lower rate than flu. It will never go away in our lifetime.

They have 6 million empty ones now. Surely they reuse them. (yep, I know a vial has 4, 5 or is it 6 shots) but you get the point.
Vaccinations will be at 7 million sometime today..(out of 44 million)

But, the U.K. is doing well vaccinating people.
According to World meter Germany have had 54k covid deaths and have a population of 95 million.
First, I wonder what criteria they use for recognising a Covid death..
And allowing for our smaller population that is along lines of 35,000 deaths...
Would country accept lockdown and restrictions, would government want to impose strict rules when at that death rate..???

why do you say that? People know that our hospitals have twice as many covid patients (38,000) as at the peak of the first wave, 4,000 on ventilators.
And that the next wave will likely overwhelm the NHS.
The only way to cope is to reduce Covid to less than 50% of the current level.

the currently approved vaccines are designed according to the 'prime boost' system. The second jab boosts the antibodies by 6-12 times according to the Israeli reports.
Figures I saw suggested 80% of cases are either asymptotic or slight to fairly bad symptoms but no treatment or hospitalisation. Of the 20% with severe symptoms rougjly half wll require hospitalisation and of those a quarter will die..
So for 80% covid presents from a mild cold to mild flu.. Upping that by any means to let's say 90 % would see hospitalisation etc halved..??? Vaccine doesn't have to be perfect to do that??
Vast majority of us already deal fairly well, we need to make that group larger...???

You've got that mixed up, surely? how do you explain the SA and Kent varieties using that logic?
Be careful what you wish for. You might get Michael Gove or Ian Duncan Smith,who has argued throughout for far less restrictions, no lockdown..???

At vaccinating very large numbers of people the UK isn't doing well, it's doing brilliantly.
At vaccinating them intelligently it's doing very badly indeed.
Having my large network I'm getting plenty of information on that. With Croydon now out of the Pfizer we received, very high priority cases are being sent to more distant places for a jab. One was sent to Coulsdon, not easy on the necessary public transport, another was sent to Sevenoaks, a long way away and not easy on public transport they also needed to use.
It didn't seem to occur to anyone in officialdom that it would have been far better to pick up the vaccine from where it was in surplus and bring it to where needed, instead of sending frail old people with serious health conditions long distances to diverse locations by public transport in cold weather.
Add to that the way they are vaccinating very large numbers of the 70s, even with both jabs, while there's huge number in their 80s being told they've still got to wait for a first jab and that is hardly doing well.
As above, if they had enough surplus for the 70s elsewhere, even for both jabs, why not move it to where it was more urgently needed? It's now clear that the initial distribution of the 5 million Pfizer doses was not related to area populations, huge surpluses in some areas but gross underprovision in others.

I’m just going on what the global community of respiratory virus experts have concluded based on their experience of Coronaviruses and the evidence they are seeing.
The makers tests showed a 5% improvement from 90 to 95% using two doses, hardly crucial in such a random outcome field.
So I'll choose to trust those rather than one of the increasingly strange and inconsistent reports coming out of Israel.
