We should all be celebrating. Issue is finished. We are out, got a good deal and really is time for us all to put the whole thing behind us. We are out of EU, still a massive part of Europe and can still trade freely with both rest of world and the 27 remaining EU members. In 5 years we will have complete control of our fishing grounds. Can't see what's not to like from any point of view.

Me and thee won't be here to witness that matey... Covid might destroy current society but if it does EU goes with us. Great news... I, d expected no deal. But seriously well done to our team. Stood to their guns.
EU and most on here... No free trade when you leave??! We, ve left and have free trade. Great result. Deserves applause. No excuses for all the lazy folk blaming brexit for poor sales now... Get to work... Good old Boris.
Boris got exactly what the EU wanted him to have , didn't you listen to anything they were saying?

Zlatan, your speed reading and instant comprehension is a beacon to us all. Reading 2000 pages of legal jargon is incredibly impressive, especially when it has not yet been released ..
Thank you. I knew I, d come back to support from you Danidl.

Boris got what Merkel made them give him. She knew full well VAG, BMW, Merc and a few others were toast with a no deal.
A point lost on May, Labour and those who used to support what was called remain.

Welcome to Cuba Zlatan, we now live on whatever scraps the EU care to drop for us and there's nothing we can do about it!
Still with any luck a giant container ship full of red tape and customs forms printed in China should get here in time

This really, really silly even for you, we would still have bought them at a higher price anyway

Tell that my mate. He runs one of biggest BM dealerships in UK. Were it not for service profits BM would already be gone. They are struggling now and yes folk would still want to buy them but BM, VAG etc are struggling now, a slight drop in sales/ profits over any prolonged period would see many go.
Why do you think we, ve got free trade...???
Whatever you lot think, today is a good day for UK and EU. Argument is over. Brexit is finished. We have a deal. Boris and both negotiating teams should be applauded.
Trade is tarrif and quota free. Achieved in 11 months. That's amazingly quick. Look how long Canada's took to sort..
Yep, folk need to study small print but the salient issues are sorted. No ECJ. Eventual control of our waters. Trade tarrif and quota free.
Enjoy your arguing.
Merry Xmas.
Stay safe. I, m off again..
And celebrating, some good news. At last.
Just waiting for my vaccine and keeping fingers crossed. Good luck everybody.
PS
Got some friends in Berlin.
They have been in touch to say their notification of deal was
"Christmas miracle for our (German) economy and industry. EU and UK arrived at a deal at last minute..."
Says it all really.

The deal is not perfect but it is a big moment.

This victory is a tribute to the ordinary men and women who stood up against the Westminster establishment — and won.

Sorry Losers but......THERE IS NO GOING BACK !!!

Replying to
@LBC
Boris Johnson has declared “we’ve taken back control of our laws and our destiny. After the recent total breakdown of control and organisation this translates into "We're all really in trouble now!"

It wasn't the ordinary men and women that did this, all they did was put a cross in a box against the wrong answer!
Ordinary Men and women?

Boris Johnson
Michael Gove
And all the others were the establishment and they brought about Brexit not the dummies who put a cross in a box .
I'm pleased there is a deal, so hopefully your suffering will be a little less than the mad no deal Brexit would have given you.
But to put it plainly The EU simply told Boris what he could have, not the other way round, no matter how you try to spin it and Fromage is cast on the scrap heap where he belongs
And by the way, what makes you imagine there "is no going back"? was that a jest?

In this respect that's true, we both got the free trade that was essential to each of us and fish never mattered anyway.

But I feel you are missing the negatives. Services are essential for us and a huge part of our exports, but they are not included in this trade deal and still have to be negotiated. And Brexit is costing us the manufacturing for the Japanese car and van makers since the deal they and the EU made when the referendum vote was to leave the EU.

We'll only know the real value or cost of this deal in ten years time.

I'll just point you at the Scottish seed potato industry. Not only prevented from selling to the EU, also barred from NI.

Argue as much as you like, that is a point of view which does NOT like what has been agreed.
Is growing seed potatoes an industry? Not quite Toyota is it. Just heard some Scottish MP say same. Made him sound pretty silly too.

Time for the resident losers to dry your eyes and hitch yourself onto another no-hoper group.

Perhaps BLM or follow Greta- you lot need something to cling to.

Merry Brexmas everyone!.

Yes seed potatoes is an important industry for those employed in it. And more importantly it is a full added value activity .the inputs are just labour. It is or was a nice little earner for poor Scottish land exporting to more fertile soil in Ireland.
