Well I never. Decided not to await the formal announcement - go off and sort out laundry, have a bath, etc. Now some sort of last minute hitch?

Hitchcock up?

So the FTA is done and the Government has already told the biggest lie of all
"We have achieved everything that was promised in the 2016 referendum and the General election"
No way, Mr 57%

Labour warned Brexit vote could 'put it on the wrong side of public opinion'
oldgroaner@oldgroaner
Replying to

@TheNewEuropean

It really doesn't matter, unless Starmer comes out with a "Rejoin the EU" strategy, as far as I'm concerned the Labour Party is no longer worth voting for What's the point of voting for the other cheek of the same arse? :cool:
What labour party? You are still stuck in 20th century my old friend. Labour Party disappeared ages ago.

Great, all sorted now. Well done Boris. Great news..
We are out, got free trade and sovereignty. No EU to prop up, no rules from Brussels no wasteful MEPs.
Brilliant.
Welcome back, as usual you are talking nonsense, He achieved by his own reckoning 57% of what he wanted.
And as I just posted started off badly with a complete lie
"We have achieved everything that was promised in the 2016 referendum and the General election "
Would you like a list of what has been dropped?

And there's this

And with "Binding arbitration" agreed that applies to both what happened to independence and sovereignty?

It's BRINO as we predicted

Boris and Co realised months ago Germany needed us and our buying power. Good job neither Labour or May were in charge. Either would have given in and we, d be under EU laws for ever. Nice one Boris... Showed some tenacity and realism.

Not true, the Great Repeal Bill of Autumn 2019 locked all prior accepted EU law into UK law, which includes the European Court being the final arbiter in numerous matters. And only hermits have a degree of sovereignty in the modern world.

We certainly have nothing remotely like it, apart from suicide.

You are bound to say that. Labour and previous Tories would be Mr and Mrs 10% if Boris is 57%...
Besides if it is only 57% you should be joyous... 43% staying in? Don't think so or all the remainders would be cheering...
Remainer or Leaver it's a great outcome. Its done. End of. We, ve got a fair deal. Free trade (which was supposed to be impossible?)
Boris has just won next 2 elections for Tories....

Me and thee won't be here to witness that matey... Covid might destroy current society but if it does EU goes with us. Great news... I, d expected no deal. But seriously well done to our team. Stood to their guns.
EU and most on here... No free trade when you leave??! We, ve left and have free trade. Great result. Deserves applause. No excuses for all the lazy folk blaming brexit for poor sales now... Get to work... Good old Boris.

Free greatly reduced trade. Honda gone, Ford Bridgend gone, Nissan like Honda announcing new models including e-cars will be made in Japan instead. Toyota will be next.

This so called sovereignty has been bought at the cost of the loss of trust.

BREAKING: Finally a historic & unprecedented deal in the interest of all is reached. While less ambitious than we wanted, tough binding arbitration it fully preserves the single market. Thanks to
@MichelBarnier
our Union came out of these negotiations more united and stronger

"Tough binding arbitration it fully preserves the single market" eh? remember those words
What is different from being subject to the ECJ?
Nothing, nothing at all :D

Zlatan, your speed reading and instant comprehension is a beacon to us all. Reading 2000 pages of legal jargon is incredibly impressive, especially when it has not yet been released ..
