Agreed, they should have acted more quickly and they should not have allowed the idea that Coronavirus had gone away to flourish. However, the public know how contagious this virus is. I’ve been exposed to exactly the same information as everyone else and even I can work it out. As I keep telling you, I’m very stupid, so if I can work out what needs to be done, so should the rest of the public.
If you regularly put yourself into close proximity of a multitude of differ people (family included), particularly in a closed environment with reduced ventilation, you are going to get it and pass it on. It’s not difficult to understand. That’s all you need to know.
People must stop doing the above for a few days. It will push the numbers down again and then we can all enjoy a bit of normality for a while. No doubt, further down the line we will need to do it again for a few days. This is not a big ask and if people refuse, government financial support must be refused. It would be dead easy to do this.
Im fed up with people moaning about how a bit of tissue over their face suffocates them and they can’t do it. BS. Or, how it’s affectin’ me mencal elf. BS again, they are just a bit pissed because they can’t do as they like.
I still don’t know what these new rules mean. Even red isn’t clear, You can’t do some stuff, but there may or may not be other stuff which you can’t do, but sometimes you can, if you live somewhere that allows it.
FFS, Red: stop mixing with everyone and stay at home unless it’s your job to do otherwise or you need medical help or provisions. Shut everything except essential services. End furlough for rule breakers. A few days of that should do the trick.

Gambling misery and the destruction of families because of addiction is a big part of UK industry. Plus, the operators are very friendly with government, so I can’t see that happening.
There are gambling issues further back in my family and they caused much misery. Indeed, in an odd way, gambling might have caused the death of my father.
I have never felt in the least like gambling. I tried a game of poker or two and lost. That wasn't fun.

LONDON (Reuters) - British police said on Tuesday they were dealing with a security incident at London’s St Thomas’ Hospital, with the nearby Westminster Bridge leading to parliament closed to traffic.
Police said they would provide more information when known.
Witnesses reported on social media that there were armed police present and that the hospital was not allowing people to enter or leave.
There was no immediate comment from the hospital.
