However we need to take this into accountThe public needs a good kick in the pocket to press home the seriousness of the current situation. Those who refuse to come together and make a few moderate sacrifices for a few days should fall out of any government financial help schemes. No furlough payments or other supplements should be made available to these people. The worst offenders, students at “University“ (excuse me for laughing) should be sent home if they party & socialise in the way we have seen. They should lose their £9K and not be allowed back on a course for 12 months.
These people are causing our hospitals to fill up thereby preventing other areas of the NHS to function properly, and they are putting health workers at unnecessary risk. They do it because they know that there are no consequences for them. That needs to change. They need to hurt and suffer very badly for their selfishness. Some are even calling Coronavirus a hoax. If it’s a hoax, they and their family won’t need a hospital or income supplements then? Scum.
Agreed, they should have acted more quickly and they should not have allowed the idea that Coronavirus had gone away to flourish. However, the public know how contagious this virus is. I’ve been exposed to exactly the same information as everyone else and even I can work it out. As I keep telling you, I’m very stupid, so if I can work out what needs to be done, so should the rest of the public. However we need to take this into account

You can find the Test in Hampshire and Essex is always good for Trace.Test and Trace. Well, they've got the 'and' sorted, just need a little more more on the 'test' and the 'trace' parts.
I’d be ok with that. 50p on alcohol, fags and gambling would be better, plus my end of financial support for idiots.Rishi should listen to your very sensible advice.
Put 2 pence on VAT, income tax and corporation tax and 10p on a pint of beer right away to pay for Covid.

At least a month ago the lights flashing with rising rates of infection! esp. with students back and consequential to encouraging everyone back out shopping and eating / drinking and being merry as £££ were made a priority over public health.

There are gambling issues further back in my family and they caused much misery. Indeed, in an odd way, gambling might have caused the death of my father.Gambling misery and the destruction of families because of addiction is a big part of UK industry. I hate it. Never been remotely interested. There are gambling issues further back in my family and they caused much misery. Indeed, in an odd way, gambling might have caused the death of my father.
I have never felt in the least like gambling. I tried a game of poker or two and lost. That wasn't fun.
That's after Nelly Trump threw out T-shirts to the crowds - and the audience was crammed in with no regards to distancing and mostly sans masks - couldn't have been planned better as a super spreading Darwin award winning event.Even if are are a dyed-in-the-wool Republican. Even if you disagree with every Democrat policy. Just how could you vote for this thing:
“I feel so powerful,” he boasted to his cheering supporters, 11 days after announcing his infection. “I’ll walk into that audience. I’ll walk in there, I’ll kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women – everybody,” he added, his voice still a bit hoarse.
