This family history thing is a fascinating subject when you get into it. My partner had a distant relative who owned a fruit & veg shop in pudding lane London when the bakers caught fire and caused a problem.
As for my lot and all their wealth ... well who knows who eventually grabbed it, governments I expect.
And this is one of my relatives:

36281

The improbably named Skelton Smalley.

On top of the chicken factory COVID outbreak, there is now one in Yorkshire at another food processing plant. I’m wondering if I need to do the British thing and go out and start panic buying toilet paper.

No, you'll lose weight if you only eat toilet paper.

Just try to avoid buying processed foods, outside of basics like bread, baked beans, tinned tomatoes etc.

I forgot about the purple tabard wearers. Might have remembered if I had been on a train - or even a station - in the recent past.

UK rail bosses rejected call to dress staff like face-mask volunteers

Request came after Grant Shapps’ ‘army of journey makers’ in purple tabards failed to materialise

I rather hope he does a presser and someone lands a question about this.

Hancock has yet more explaining to do - bet he's glad it's the weekend.

Apple says it did not know the UK was working on a "hybrid" version of the NHS coronavirus contact-tracing app using tech it developed with Google.

The firm took the unusual step of saying it was also unaware of an issue regarding distance-measuring, which was flagged by Health Secretary Matt Hancock in Thursday's daily briefing.

Apple said it was "difficult to understand" the claims.

Downing Street said the government had "worked closely with Apple and Google".

Fine figure of a man, that's not your ancestral home in the picture is it ?
So far from it you wouldn't believe!

I had no idea whatsoever about this side of my family. Seems his father got a maid pregnant - and the offspring was to become my grandmother. The maid was sent away from Cambridgeshire to Manchester to have the baby. If the story is right, he got the maid pregnant twice - or was it two maids each once?

Today's news:

Katie Hopkins permanently removed from Twitter
Rightwing commentator’s account was suspended to ‘keep platform safe’ from abuse

All in a word. She was suspended from Twitter on 30th January and been out of it ever since, hence my puzzlement at your post.

Now they say banned.

To me there's no difference, suspensions or bans, both can be put in place, both can be lifted.

It's nothing to cheer about. The problem is that when we ban all the far right people, we'll only have ourselves to talk to, which is going to be a bit boring. KH will go to Parler, Telegram or VK and take all her million followers with her, which will further reduce the number of people replying to our posts. In the UK, there are more people that follow KH and Tommy Robinson that virtually any other politicians. All banning them does is accelerate the demise of Twitter. People are calling for Trump to be banned. If he goes, there will be a massive migration of not only his followers, but also just about every far right Twitter participant.

Imagine if OG and you were the only people posting in and reading this thread, both cheering when each other posted Borris and Trump are bad memes. What would be the point?

I think we're in a bit of trouble. Joe Biden just had a rally in his home town and only 20 people turned out. For Trump's rally in Tulsa, a million people are after tickets. Can he be stopped?

So what you need to find out now is, was it a case of " laid maid or maid's laid " ;)

Katie Hopkins ? who the heck is she... I'm very fortunate really because I don't follow all this media phenomena stuff. People are having arguments about going down on one knee but TBH I'm not absolutely sure how that all came about anyway or why, I have a suspicion it would have started in the US.

You're showing your ignorance my good man. These platforms are showing explosive growth. Why? Because all the people banned from Twitter are going there and taking their followers with them. Have you looked at Parler? As I predicted, here's KH just arrived with another million people to sign up:

Within 14 hours of joining, she's got 12 thousand followers and getting 100k views on one of her posts. Check next week and see how those number will have gone up tenfold or more.

All the people we joust with are there, so if you want to join in the fun, sign up. You can have real slagging matches there, and nobody throws their rattle out of the pram - much better than Twitter, which is already becoming sterile and boring.

Downing Street said the government had "worked closely with Apple and Google".
He meant that more than one of them had an iPhone, and more than one and Android phone. They were seeking scientific advice about how to turn them on.

There was that Tory MP for Amber Valley, Nigel Mills. He got caught playing Candy Crush Saga on a smart phone whilst looking after the interests of his constituents at a Work & Pensions committee meeting. It was only a brief game which lasted 2 1/2 hours, and he did say that he would TRY not to let it happen again. My point is, perhaps he may be the most knowledgeable person in government regarding the use of smart phones, and maybe he should be leading development of the track & trace app. Barrenness Dildo seems to be making a fuckup, much like she did at talk-talk.

Just had a look. Don't seem to be able to view anything without downloading the app. Twitter's accessibility has been a vital element in its growth.

Their attitude to abiding by the FCC and USA Supreme Court only has issues. Just why should I abide by their rules? And why can I not take them to court myself in the UK if they are effectively operating here?
