that booking site opens at 8AM to 8PM. I don't know why those hours but by 9AM, all the home testing kits have already been all booked out.
'Come back tomorrow' it says.
Just seen this:

The number of home testing kits available ran out in only two minutes after the government opened Covid-19 testing to all key workers and their families.

No 10 said 5,000 home testing kits - the total amount on offer - were ordered online on Friday morning.

A fine old Scottish name.
I protest thats an Oxymoron! are you trying to ruin our national street credibility?
It can either be "fine" or "old" or "Scottish"
Anything that was fine, old, and Scottish was stolen long ago most likely by one of my ancestors.
"Or bought and sold frae English Gold!"

Iain Duncan Smith: Risk of more austerity is a price worth paying for Brexit
Former work and pensions secretary says economic risks are outweighed by need to leave EU

Odious Smith seems to have a talent to say exactly the wrong thing, after riding on the protest vote against Austerity to win the referendum to leave the EU, now is not the time to rub the Brexit voters noses into the proverbial reminding them they won't get what they voted for

This is going to be his Get out of Jail Free card. It's been possible see this coming since about 10 days ago. On Thursday next week he's going to say that they have capacity to test 100000 people per day, but these lazy care home workers, on minimum wage, can't be arsed to jump into their Audi A5s and make the journey to get tested.

Did you see the map of the test centre locations? Which bell-end thought it would be a good idea to cluster them all together and leave vast areas with no testing station within an eighty mile radius?

The testing stations need to be distributed on a similar scale to polling stations, but that would expose the fact that they can't test 100000 / day, so it won't happen.
Yes puzzled they simply didn't do workplace testing at the hospitals in the first place, before expanding out to care homes etc.

And as for tracking personel - are they going to get Eddie Shoesting out of retirement or Heir Hunters and probate detectives to ask around?

Following DT incredible news briefing yesterday to the American people, how long is it going to be before one or more, gun-toting, fox news believing, lock down protesting and Trump supporting individuals does themselves serious harm by injecting themselves with beach or similar disinfectant?

I'm sure that bleach is good at clearing fluff from the brain. I think a direct injection into Trump's brain (if it can be found) would be very beneficial.

I was listening to the radio whilst gardening this afternoon. In a news bulletin, Dettol has found it necessary to issue a warning not to ingest or inject their products because The President of The United States of America has said that it has potential to cure virus infections. It’s like a parallel universe. A few years back, if anyone had told me that a US President would make such an announcement, causing the manufacturers of Dettol to intervene to stop people doubt injecting it, I would have taken them to the nut house.

I had a laughing fit as the news reader was delivering the bulletin. What else can this man come out with?

The cleverest person I know is convinced that when the weasel caused CERN to shut down, it forced us into a parallel universe where nothing makes sense.

Since then we've had Brexit,
an orange faced buffoon elected as US President,
the biggest Tory majority for a hundred years, thanks to Boris 'fridge' Johnson, a pandemic and now the same idiot president is telling us to inject disinfectant.

I laughed when they first told me their theory a couple of years ago...

P.S. US and UK Govt. Covid -19 Press Conferences are now available on iPlayer & iTunes as boxed sets - look under Comedy category....

Dettol has found it necessary to issue a warning not to ingest or inject their products because
Dettol actually said people must not ingest disinfectants, which is likely upset the French makers of TCP, an antiseptic which is also classed as a disinfectant, albeit a mild one. It has several medical uses for mouth and throat.

"The instructions on the TCP bottle state that TCP can be used for sore throats, mouth ulcers, cuts, grazes, bites and stings, boils, spots and pimples.

It can also be used as a mouthwash when diluted, and can also be used as a general disinfectant."

What say for a giggle we send him an anonymous tip that if you get people to do handstands the virus won't be able to climb up into their lungs?

I remember having knees and elbows doused in TCP when falling over and grazing myself at school. That first hit when it makes contact with sore skin is something you remember forever.
