Yes. Particularly when added to the other litany of insults, profanities, and racist comments .Actionable?
Do privately owned / run services work?Trust me, I believe in public services but show me a publicly owned utility that works.
I think your belief is largely based on the way Corbyn has been represented, with no hard knowledge of what he will do. If true that is bigotry. You basically entrust the man with your tax money.
JC sells the idea that publicly owned utilities and services work better than free market economy.
He will do so not by raising taxes because he knows voters would not buy it but by borrowing which is basically taking out a mortgage on future taxpayers.
I happen not to believe this approach, so am I now a bigot?
The difference between BJ and JC is simply thisI am more likely to believe almost anything and everything JC says over anything BJ has said, or will say.
No, I do not find him particularly appealing and question much of what he says. Much of the best political words I have heard in recent times have come from sources which hitherto might have been unexpected. Like PC.
Ah! So!More chuckles on the Boris pantomime campaign trail...
"Boris Johnson's relationship with a US businesswoman who allegedly received favourable treatment when he was London Mayor is back in the spotlight.
ITV is due to broadcast an interview with Jennifer Arcuri tonight in which she complains that he "cast me aside like I am some gremlin".
Ms Arcuri says in the interview that she has kept his "secrets" but that her requests for media advice from him have been "blocked".
She she said when she called Mr Johnson’s personal phone after the story broke, she was passed to someone else who spoke to her in Chinese.
if you look closely, his ideas won't work. And most of his borrowing would have the ability to pay back though it's investment potential.
Racist comments? Are you sure?Yes. Particularly when added to the other litany of insults, profanities, and racist comments .
Low labour cost and high returns make a country attractive to foreign companies and high FDI. It's why American FDI increased, lots, recently. Or why the uk or a deeply unequal consumerist dystopia like Singapore (or the uk) have much higher FDI than say germany. High FDI is by no means an unqualified good symptom for a national economyif you look closely, his ideas won't work.
The UK runs an endemic trade deficit (about 3% per annum) which is made good by FDI.
What he does, if followed up by future Labour governments, won't generate profit for government and deter foreign investment: trains, water, electricity, broadband, post office, social housing because the services are free or not meant to make a profit in the first place.
it just does not add up. There ought to be a law to stop future governments running large borrowing. If we were in the Eurozone, borrowing is capped at 3% (about £60 billions a year). JC would never be able to execute his plans.
our unusually high FDI is partly due to the attractive property market and easy money stash away and laundering.Low labour cost and high returns make a country attractive to foreign companies and high FDI. Gross exaggeration. Firstly he would not be followed by further Labour governments as I'd already made clear and history shows, Blair's being pseudo Tory government. What he does, if followed up by future Labour governments, won't generate profit for government and deter foreign investment: trains, water, electricity, broadband, post office, social housing because the services are free or not meant to make a profit in the first place.
Yes, if only the Tories were momentarilly open about the fact that that's the central objective of their economic policyour unusually high FDI is partly due to the attractive property market and easy money stash away and laundering.
Yep, loving every minute. Is everyone having a nice peaceful Sunday?
What you, ve been abused by some film studio magnate... Kept that quiet 50...#metoo
Sweden has little state owned companies.Secondly, almost all of that list are not free. The profit from the break even among them comes from the society they create. Like that in arch Socialist Sweden for example, one of the EU's successes.
If you think that you ,or I are anonymous while posting on line, you are sadly mistaken. You used IP addresses and unless your postings were all done from internet cafés or using clever VPNs ,all is findable. Ditto with everything I have written on this and other fora. Now it would not be my intention to persue this line..life is far too short. In the course of all my postings to this site ,I can be uniquely identified ..my Village, my education , my interests etc. So yes I do have a position. The only protection is that nobody is likely to bother.Racist comments? Are you sure?
So let me make sure that I’ve understood this correctly.
Are you actually suggesting that a totally anonymous person, using a fabricated identity, presumably to protect themselves, can allege and take action for some form of hurt caused, by another totally an anonymous person, who is also using a made up identity?
I’m sorry to find myself saying this again, but I suspect that you are wrong. Had actual identifiable names been used, I might have a different view.
You must learn to accept that this forum is nothing more than strangers arguing with strangers.
This seems to have started as a result of trying to provide examples of successful state / government owned organisations. Because it’s Sunday, I’ll give you one for free, The United Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The CAA is a golden standard upon which other nations base their National Authority for aviation matters.
