We built up a large supply of none perishable food along with kitchen roll, toilet roll etc. prior to the last dead line and have been gradually letting it run down, but seems like we will need to put together another one for the end of October.

As I've posted at least twice before, Aneurin Bevan was regarded as incapable of learning by his headmaster and left school with nothing at 13 to start work.

He later became our greatest post war politician on the basis of what he achieved, in some ways our greatest ever.

Formal education isn't necessary for a politician.

Like so many people when younger, Corbyn was far more left wing but has moderated with age. Now his ambition is only the least of nationalisation, rail and water, both very necessary.

Well since the negatives are very evident , perhaps no surprise, but it is true of course, and potentially increases employment,until it is full,then employers need to pay more. But those same workers need to eat and buy oil for heat,and these become more and more expensive. And guess what? The UK imports its food. Food is a larger fraction of the weekly wage than on the yearly dividend.,so impacts those at the bottom of the foodchain disproportionately.
It also assumes tariff free access to local markets in order to sell more,or low cost transport to distant markets. ..neither is a given.

I think it is you who are guilty of nonsense. His tax and spending plans, his desire to steal land from people and his hatred of the people who create the wealth of the country would be enough to take us to poverty. He is just coming up with the usual leftist garbage that has no place in a modern world

I guess there's a time and a place for everything. The morally righteous get on my nerves with this idea that lying is inherently a bad thing. No - it's not. Time and place.

That is what might be termed transactional morality. Integrity pays off in the end. Not taking the moral high ground, and engaging in hypocritical cant, but taking the time and effort to separate fact from fiction and speaking truth to power, when you actually know what the truth is.
We can also prevaricate, and choose to evade the requested answer, but telling an untruth, in order to get off the hook ,is plain wrong. In my latter years of introducing students to the practice of Engineering and introducing them to professional ethics ,I would start remind them that they were entering this college with an A in one subject.. Their personal integrity and only one person could take that away. Once lost trust is very difficult to re-establish. .. Examples would follow, and if I were giving it this year, the VW and Boeing sagas would figure. Its about the only talk, I gave which got a real positive response. ...

Stewart got endorsed by 6 and got 18, beating Leadsom, McVey and Harper who had more endorsements.
He is way behind BJ but has the momentum.
