Brexit, for once some facts.

Apparently, people are actually demanding that the Tory government do more to combat fake news.

This is a Tory government stuffed to the gunnels with lying Brexiteers who have just announced that the 58 Brexit impact assessments they spent the whole summer bragging to parliament, the press, and the public about are pure fake news!

Tory Fake News Fox Chicken Coop.png

Leaving that aside, it seems many still haven't grasped exactly how a borderless Ireland represents in any way the taking back control demanded by so many 'Brexidiots'.

This illustrates their dilemma:

Pleased that there is 'alignment' in the cabinet...
Davis has just said ' If we don't get a good trade deal we don't have to pay the exit bill'
Hammond said recently 'we will pay the exit bill even if we don't get a free trade deal'
Don't these people talk together in cabinet meetings.

Premature. You're forgetting that we will be paying annually for trade access, just like Norway for example.

And you were wrong on that earlier post in saying it looks like a hard Brexit. A decidely soft one has just been indicated by the negotiations.
.
Must have missed that new news can you provide me with a links to an official statement.

Also a bit premature on your second paragraph.

Here is your answer

Try this and explain how this does NOT mean there will be a "Soft" Brexit

I think it may have been my earlier mention of having to pay for trade access like Norway.

Of course he knows there is no link for that logical assumption, hence my saying his request is perverse.

In that sense I was occupying a different space time co-ordinate and would have sent him that future link. Unfortunately the internet is far too slow and unable to keep up with the speed of my foresight so the link hasn't appeared yet.

Davis's big mouth causes trouble again from the Express
"
Brexit deal backlash as David Davis interview sparks EU leader FURY
The leader of a European Union (EU) member state has been left furious after Brexit Secretary David Davis claimed the so-called breakthrough deal is not legally binding.
Davis has caused outrage in the Republic of Ireland with his suggestion the details under which the first phase of the Brexit negotiations were signed off, could be subject to change.

Britain and the EU finally agreed over EU citizens’ rights, the Brexit bill and the Irish border, meaning talks can progress on to trade in 2018.

But Davis insisted that Britain could easily refuse to hand over the agreed £39bn exit bill if a trade deal with the Brussels bloc was not secured by the date of departure.

This meant Davis was seen as signalling the UK could change its mind on elements already agreed.

Mr Davis also said on the The Andrew Marr Show the latest agreement was much more a statement of intent than "legally enforceable".

The Irish government responded strongly, stating the deal was "binding" and it would hold the UK "to account" on it..

Isn't it time this Davis creature was shown the door?

Which happened, cancelling the prior prediction of battery price reductions. One of our suppliers had to reverse a price reduction:

Yes, the speculators are playing their games again and trying to corner the market but worldwide resources have not changed.

Yes, of course it is; indeed, it's way past time but May has a problem with that.

In any other workplace, Davis would have been dismissed for sheer incompetence but because he, Fox and Co were her handpicked selections to do the job in Brussels, May is stuck. When she made those appointments, she needed the most sycophantic, bum-lickers she could think of on her side as she was unsure of her ground and knew there were others on the far right whose determination to crash out of the EU would undermine her position.

Were she to sack any of those obsequious, self-aggrandising clowns now, what would that say about her Prime Ministerial judgement? Her tenure of office is no more secure now than it was when she took office, indeed it may be less so due to her inability to speak to the nation and be warmly received. The woman really needs something to happen, like Thatcher's slice of serendipity with the Argentinian invasion of the Falklands, to gel the nation and give everyone a sense of purpose.

May has presided over the biggest comedy of errors I can remember and if Shakespeare were still around, he could create a blockbuster from this tory government's faux pas that would eclipse his early work of that name.

Does anyone remember Fred Karno? This sprang to my mind, only on account of the madness and mayhem associated with Karno's comedy:

We are Fred Karno's army, Fred Karno's infantry;
We cannot fight, we cannot shoot, so what damn good are we?
But when we get to Berlin,The Kaiser he will say, Hoch, hoch, mein Gott,
Vot a bloody fine lot, Fred Karno's infantry.

Yes, that is my understanding. Apart from the alcoholics who spend most of their time in bars, repeatedly reliving past 'glories' like England's world cup win, WW2, the Falklands and portraying all that is worst about the English abroad, the ex-pat communities recognise that they are facing some real, potential difficulties because of this government's lack of concern over citizens' rights.

how about this comment in the Guardian:

"The EU is a market, not a mutual support system. Instead of redistributing growth to succour laggards it punishes them, as it has Greece. It drains us and proscribes the techniques of nurture by state aid, protectionism and devaluation by which Germany and France grew. "

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/dec/11/brexit-distraction-real-problem-uk-clapped-out-economy-winden-manufacturing-production-base
Unbiassed as usual and essntially untrue Greece wasn't a laggard was it? it was on the make, and we did very nicely out of Financial Swindles we will not be able to duplicate outside the Market, then where will we be?
Greece wasn't punished was it? they brought the situation on themselves, which is exactly what we are doing too.

When is a deal not a deal.....

David Davis has clashed with the Irish government after claiming that the Brexit divorce agreement between Britain and the EU was a “statement of intent” rather than something legally enforceable.

The Brexit secretary’s comments came after it was reported that Downing Street advisers had told cabinet ministers who campaigned to leave the EU that promises around full regulatory alignment were “meaningless”.

So it wasn't something we had agreed to,it was a 'statement of intent',similar to they werent 'impact reports' they were 'sector analysis'.
He does seem to engage mouth before brain and wriggle afterwards, dangerous trait in a politician who is negotiating with our country!!!!
He has elements of Trump about him,he says what each audience wants to hear but dismisses that the world is listening.

They should have been given a vote in the referendum....if all of them voted remain that would have left the vote very close...but even if it was down to 1 person winning, the Brexiters would still call it an 'overwhelming vote to Leave'...wonder what would have happened if it had been just a few votes???
Stupid Cameron should have put a percentage on it,he was overconfident Remain would win.
