How many flying fish does she have? Is there enough parchment to write the secret codes on? Will the ink dry in time? Don't worry they are all programmed to hit selected targets in the USA. Well during the last test they tried...

This has been widely read on social media and I can't find anything to condemn in this rant:

Paul Starling. June 15th, 2017.

THE HELLISH INFERNO A SOCIETY FALLS IN TO WHEN PROFIT IS PUT BEFORE PEOPLE, LIVES, AND ALL ELSE!
The horrific fire in the massive block of flats in the so-called 'Royal' Borough of Kensington (owned by one of the richest councils in Britain) is a terrible warning to us all of how far this country has descended, and how rotten the politics of the past 38 years has descended.
We have had almost 40 years of foul, voracious, money-grabbing, thatcherite, monetarist profiteering which has dragged the values and decency of this country down in to the depths of depravity.
Nurses relying on foodbanks. Doctors emigrating in their droves. Our Health Service being dismantled for private profit. The sick and disabled dying by a thousand welfare cuts. Homelessness on streets corners. Teachers going mad with cut-back stresses. Councils being blamed when streetlights are turned off because of central Government cuts. One-in-four children living below the poverty line, poverty-zero-hours-pay, teenagers and our young facing an epidemic of anxiety .... in London TEN fire-stations sold off for £1 each by the ridiculous Tory toff Boris Johnson (who wants to 'run' this country!) ..... etc, etc, etc. (Just look around you, and you can add to this list).
J'ACCUSE.
I accuse this Government, the Blairites, the Thatcherites ... all those apologists for rampant greed, of asset-stripping Britain, of making these once lovely islands a place for bloated, voracious greed. Former One-Nation Tory prime minister Harold MacMillan warned Thatcher she was "selling off the country's silver". That was 30 years ago .... I am warning now, that the act of stripping out, selling-off, the assets of this country is now almost complete.
A hospital is not a hospital in the greedy eyes of these voracious vultures, it is 'property' ... to be sold off to any greedy spiv who flashes the cash. A school playing field is not there to keep the young fit and active ... it is 'land' on which to make vast profits building smaller and smaller rabbit-hutches to make fat profits. Every square metre of 'property', has a price on its head. It is all of the rest of us who are paying that price.
This country and all that's good in it is for sale to greediest bastard bidder.
'Public services' (teaching, the police, nurses, doctors, dentists) either 'turn-profit' or they are attacked, starved, sold off ... or wither and die.
I, for one, refuse today to turn a blind-eye, to stay silent in some mock-homage to the victims of greed. I, above all, refuse to wring my hands and say "Oh, woe is we. What can be done". NO. Enough is enough. What the hell has happened to the values of this country? To the resolve of its people? What has happened to the fighting spirit of Britain which stopped the fascist hordes of Hitler at its height? The fascist few are among us, eating away ... at all.
THE ENEMY IS WITH IN.
The greedy, bloated, profit-seekers, and their political servants are the barbarians ... at the door.
THIS HAS TO STOP.
Despair, wring-your-hands, allow the mass anxiety let loose by these barbarians silence and crush you if you choose. Or stand up. Stand with me, and the tens of millions who have just said in the ballot boxes .... Enough is Enough!
To those who voted 'Conservative' I have this question ... what are you trying to 'conserve'? When all around you, Great Britain's great values are being stripped, sold off, destroyed. The moment you wake up to that is the moment we can take back this country from the bloated barbarians.
BEFORE THE JACKALS BEAR THEIR TEETH.
I make no apology for writing this now. What is beyond bad taste is for any of us to continue staying silent or making excuses for the voracious, profit-before-all-else, vultures who are destroying all that is decent in this country. And ... especially those unspeakable politicians who are the loudspeakers for, and protectors of, money-grubbing-profiteers. THIS MUST END. A NEW WAY ... IS NOT ONLY A MATTER OF LIFE-AND-DEATH, IT IS THE MOST PRESSING IMPERATIVE .... TO SAVE THE BRITISH WAY OF LIFE!

The usual Farage distorted spin on things, ignoring the obvious fact that there was a huge swing against Theresa May's hard Brexit policies.

The electorate have voted for two things in the two referendums on Europe.

Over 67% voted for remaining in the Common Market.

Under 52% voted to leave the EU.

Putting those two together equals a soft Brexit, being in the Common Market but with reduced EU control over UK affairs.

Any kind of Brexit will severely damage the economy and well being of the population of this country and teach them a lesson so convincing that there will be unrest that will ultimately lead to us rejoining the EU.

It would be a shame now for Brexit not to go ahead, verily a case of
"Spare the rod and spoil the child"
A lesson in reality is long overdue in this land of lies and right wing fairy tales.

... Maybe I'm soft, but I don't think the UK will in any way benefit from this . My experience is that this just does not happen. People generate myths and justifications. OG , your old testament attitude of trial by fire and brimstone, while possibly personally satisfying , won't wash. Sorry.

Won't wash? I beg to differ!
It will indeed "wash" as you put it as surely as night and day continue, and remove a lot of stains in the process, there is nothing old testament about changes that are inevitably and unavoidably coming about before our eyes.

I am simply observing the probability of a social disaster and it is close to 100%
Do you really believe it will all pass off peacefully?

I too would like to think so, but it is guaranteed to end in tears and hopefully a more politically aware public at the end of it.
They seem determined not to learn by a process of logic, only bitter experience will penetrate the illusion they live by.
Not so much "Fire and Brimstone" as you put it, as Chemotherapy. or if you prefer
Kismet.

In the absence of any alternative, constructive suggestion, how do you imagine that the consequences of voting for political madness might ever be brought home to those stupid enough to repeatedly vote for extremist politicians?

As we have been fortunate not to have endured a major war in recent decades - the kind of war that causes tens of thousands of our troops to die in some foreign field and thousands of civilians in the UK killed or maimed as a result of enemy actions - we have simply bred several generations who know nothing but relative peace and the politics of greed. Our young people have simply no concept of socialist government and they have been brainwashed, just like their parents and grandparents before them by the very people who run the country, own most of the land and property, 90% of the media and have stripped away just about everything from public ownership, giving it to their friends and financial backers for next to nothing.

OG is quite right; Even after a good campaign by the Labour Party, there are still large numbers of British citizens who cannot bring themselves to vote for any party other than the one which has been relentlessly raping the country since 1979. Only when these tory voters and supporters, who are not part of the establishment but cannot stomach being referred to as working class, with its associations to trade unions and the Labour Party, really begin to feel pain, that very hurtful financial pain, will we ever see any meaningful change. I mean the kind of pain that prevents them from buying all the paraphernalia exhibited in the glossy magazines, whether it be German cars, (in white please!), gym/spa membership, the latest giant TV, American double-door f/freezer, the exotic holiday destinations as backdrop to endless selfy photos and so on......only then will reality begin to sink in.

When the poor people need to rely on neighbours, friends and relatives to help with DIY, electrical, gas or water emergencies, car repairs, etc, because they cannot afford to pay the self-employed tradesmen who, in turn, start to feel the pinch and no longer get the work they did before, will we see people look for a different kind of politico/economic direction. When the eastern European car wash businesses no longer get enough dirty cars to keep them solvent and depart for foreign shores; when the fast-food businesses and takeaways start to disappear, when free BUPA membership ceases to be included as a perk by businesses, then those softy wannabees who see themselves as middle-class and are therefore required to vote tory like all mainstream press commentary demands, will want to try a different kind of politics.

I say, like OG, bring it on! As for the older generation who voted 'Brexit' because they want to live in a Britain as it was in the 1950s and 60s, they deserve their comeuppance for their shortsightedness and stupidity.

Luvyerbuspass!......while you can.

Spare me from these yellow-bellies! Ask around in five years time and no-one will remember this pillock or his 'liberal' values.......not that I thought they had any after propping up a tory government's austerity (for the masses) programme for 5 years.

He's just another in a long line of complete plonkers to have fronted the fence-squatting party with a very appropriate political banner colour.

In my experience, one needs to be very careful about what you wish for.. you might get it. Now OG has been very clear for a long time that the UK people need to be punished severely for the mistake of voting leave. And that after wandering in the economic wilderness for a a number of years they might be willing to rejoin the promised land. That is an old testament mindset... So coming from I believe an atheist ( Not going back to check posts) , somewhat surprising.
I simply don't think that the world and history works that way. The guilty do not get punished, the foolish blame their folly on others and find scapegoats , a new accommodation is reached. A new dynamic appears and people adjust to it.
The best way to stop bad things happening in the future is to stop them now. You don't get out of a hole by Digging deeper.... Australia is a long way down.

... Tommie, one can have any view on here , and provided it is expressed coherently, it can be responded to. I think I have at some point disagreed with everyone, and at different times agreed with the same person on different aspects or topics. .. see I am disagreeing with you know. Certain posters tilson in particular has a rather right wing viewpoint, and when he makes valid points , which is often, they are agreed with.

OG has in fact been very clear
The British public do not so much NEED to be punished for voting for Brexit
They INTEND to punish themselves, I merely observe that this has become important that they are not PREVENTED from doing so.
I am in fact a HUMANIST so any apparently religious references are misplaced, it is simply the case that the public wont change without self inflicted hard lessons that "Being careful about what you wish for" applies to them.
What I wish for is that we had had more sense than to vote for Brexit, not what is inevitably going to happen now, but let's get it over with.
At least I express the hope that they will learn from their experience whereas, I see that you don't think so.
