Starmer hasn't got a hope,
He doesn't look like he can cope,
His wife won't get a victory erection,
After the results the coming election.
You, ve sort of hit it in a nut shell. The only labour candidate folk would actually have faith in is Charles Clark.. Always thought he came over capable and electable. He was speaking last night and made sense, but all that gets ruined when McCluskey and Starmer appear.
I don't know what it is about Labour MPs at moment but something is missing.. Not sure how to describe it.
Take Tory naughty boys Archer and Portillo for example. Yes, both been stupid and caught doing things they shouldn't but their demeanour, class or attitude seems to overshadow their wrong doings. Starmer could be as clean as a whistle and he still wouldn't attract voters.
Think back to old Labour, the likes of Wilson, Attlee etc... They had it in spades. A trustworthyness beyond their failings. (which both had)
I, m sorry to say it but I couldn't bring myself to vote for any Labour MPs at the moment. They just repel voters by nature. Nandy, Rayner, Corbyn, Starmer??? And that's before we talk about factions, broken parties, anti semitism. They just make Tories look way better than they are.
Charles Clark and the clever Milliband should be running show. Might stand a chance then.
When a labour MP openly threatens to beat a journalist over the head with a baseball bat, Rayner comes on calling folk scum and Starmer fails to criticise either what chance do they have. None.
At moment Labour seem more akin to a Cult rather than a political party. Listening to delegates at PC yesterday, watching behaviour only reinforces that.. If you are in the cult... Fine... If not, they hate you and everything you stand for. Our country will never vote for that.
I disliked Rayner's comments but at least she was honest. Suspect many Labour MPs, and supporters, think exactly same way. Vast majority of voters are simply repelled and appalled to point of voting Tory, as bad as they are. The whole party needs to moderate and represent voters and stop preaching and hating.
