You`re wrong Dan - you CAN`T be prosecuted under the present/any legislation for going to work. This was in fact what Farage was doing in his role as journalist/presenter.

If you think otherwise please direct us to the applicable part.

Nigel Farage
Nigel Paul Farage is a British politician and broadcaster
Not a journalist and he never has been

..you CAN be prosecuted for going to work, that is the entire point of the lockdown and the list of essential occupations and functions.
Again , slight correction ,I was employed for 35 years to present information and debate it, but I am now retired.
Yes I don't like Farage, and I would be delighted to see him get his just rewards ,
Journalism / reporting is still being allowed to continue during the lockdown you clown. Why are you so stupid and why do you get everything wrong?

Being a broadcaster involves the investigation of and research into the topics you broadcast about. It’s not like here were only five people read what’s posted and one of those gets everything wrong.

Now it might be argued this fella has a much better reason for Breaking the lockdown than Mr Frog did

Shades of "Stop doing that you'll go blind!"
To which the answer is of course
"Can I risk one eye?"

Tilson - could you or anyone just drive to Dover or wherever and simply claim to be a journalist?
If I was employed by a national radio station to present and broadcast an article about a topic concerning Dover, I could legitimately drive to Dover for the purposes of gathering information pertaining to that radio show. What I describe is precisely what Farage has done, therefore no offence has been committed. The police have not prosecuted, which backs up my statement.

I will await Tilson’s response.

More honour than any of the politicans... But, yes, it was a bad mistake.

Top UK adviser resigns over lockdown breach

The epidemiologist credited with convincing the UK government to abandon thoughts of pursuing herd immunity in favour of physical distancing has resigned amid allegations he breached lockdown rules.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Prof Neil Ferguson stepped down from his government advisory position over claims a woman with whom he is in a romantic relationship, but who lives elsewhere, visited him at his home during the lockdown.

Prof Ferguson has told the Telegraph:

I accept I made an error of judgment and took the wrong course of action. I have therefore stepped back from my involvement in Sage.
I acted in the belief that I was immune, having tested positive for coronavirus, and completely isolated myself for almost two weeks after developing symptoms.
I deeply regret any undermining of the clear messages around the continued need for social distancing to control this devastating epidemic. The government guidance is unequivocal, and is there to protect all of us.

A journalist is a person who collects, writes, or distributes news or other current information to the public. A journalist's work is called journalism.

and you still can`t count!!
Farage writes opinion pieces for the right wing press, not reporting on events or facts.
he is a politician, a campaigner, an influencer but journalist, no, he is not.
