. Actually I saw and listened last year to a set of bone conduction head phones in France. I am big into novelty and quirky science , but their audio performance was not enough to tempt me at80 euro..very mediocre in fact.

Here's a story about tracking & tracing...I've been doing it for years ! About two years ago I sold a mobile phone on ebay, it was in excellent condition as my stuff always is and as I only switch on a mobile on when I want to use it, the battery was in good health too. A lady had purchased it and on receipt of said phone messaged me back to say how pleased she was with it, good news.

Then things got a bit odd...

Twenty four hours later I received a message from the purchaser asking if I had another phone like the one I'd sold her as hers was now gone ? I told her that was my personal mobile she'd bought so I had no more, but then went on to ask what had happened to mine she had.
She told me it had just disappeared gone, that was it so I messaged back again inquiring what she meant by 'gone'
She told me it was on her desk then the next minute it was gone, so I wondered if she'd mislaid it or maybe she was just crazy. This is a long story so i'll cut to the chase, I was determined to find out where her phone was so I set about using all sorts of technology I can get my hands on. I should point out at one time I was heavily involved in mobile phone firmware technology & reverse engineering so I know how a phone works.
I located that phone, in fact I even found the house it was sitting in and got a Google image of the place. Even though it had been tampered with I still tracked it down. I then messaged the buyer and asked if she had a friend or relative who lived at this house, she replied it was her sons place...Ahh. I advised her to look no further for her phone, that's all I said to her.....she never replied again.

Nigel is a journalist/radio presenter (eg.on LBC).
He was in that capacity doing an article on the governmental run Taxi Service (Border Force), that is currently in operation in the Channel

Whatever. And I am the Irish correspondent on a global network called Pedelecs Forum , called upon periodically to correct the over exuberance of an NI correspondent. Neither of us can claim these as exemptions in law. The British Government ..your Government listed the essential services , a son of mine is listed on the Irish equivalent, and a daughter of mine on the UK and Irish lists.
As I said he can use his "exemption" as a defence in court.

I know where you are coming from, my excellent Beyer headphones cost over £250 in 1985, not NR of course.

In terms of prevention at the start, yes. But it could well come to the fore to identify and try to manage "hotspots" (even if they are the size of a county).

The AirPod pros are extraordinarily good, but at £250 per set they need to be. Very practical too, they charge in the storage case which has a battery in it. I’ve not had to charge the case yet and have charged the AirPods quite a few times.

I’m sure the internal mike is for the ANR and for the “leakage test”. As I mentioned earlier, my old flying hat had the microphones in the ear cups.

Am perfectly happy to believe that the microphone is for leakage testing, but I still want to know how they react in someone with objective tinnitus.

In this connection it baffles me why anyone goes out cycling or even walking with noise reduction earphones/headphones.

You are a ridiculous man who get nearly everything wrong. You are not employed as a reporter / talk show host on a national radio station. Nigel Farage is employed in this capacity by LBC, a national radio station. It is his job to research topics, present his findings on air and to then discuss / debate them with members of the public who phone in to his show. Farage was in Dover to gather information about illegal immigration for a forthcoming show. He had legitimate business in Dover in the same way as any other reporter has business with other news topics.

Try to get something right one day will you.

.. yes I am aware of the November diagnosis in Wuhan. But it does beg the question and requires the evidence to be tested. There is no clear path back to China established as yet.

Rhinolophus affinis (horseshoe bat) Indian subcontinent, southern and central China and Southeast Asia and Manis javanica (pangolins) imported into Guangdong province contain coronaviruses similar to SARS-CoV-2. Both animals not common I'd guess in France.

Airlines were still flying then...

Hopefully they can identify the strain and see how related it was to early samples from China.
